LIVE

Since a lot of people over on Instagram seemed to really like Benjamin when I revealed him, I decided to line up some extra doodles just for fun. Did I forget to mention he’s a demon? Whoops, must’ve slipped my mind

Saving the best for last, this is the final introductory sheet of my main nine characters. Out of all of them, Renwick is probably my top favourite, and in all honesty a bit of a mascot of sorts for me. There’s so, so, so much to this character that I can’t wait to talk about in the future! I don’t think I’ve ever put as much love, care or thought into a character as I have with Renwick, so I really do hope you all love him just as much as I do!

After this, there will surely be much more artwork to come, so keep your eyes open for more pieces featuring Renwick and of the others, and look out for your favourites in the coming days!

What do you think of Renwick? Are you enthusiastic for the changes I’ve made to this account? All feedback is appreciated!

The second-to-last introductory sheet features another personal favourite of mine. I’d always joked that he’d probably be a fan favourite in the future, but I never quite expected him to be one of mine, too. You know, while I was designing him I was listening to the Monster High themesong on loop. I think that it, among many other songs, fits him nicely.

What do you think of Benjamin? What kinds of music or media do you listen to when drawing/designing, if any? All feedback is appreciated!

A page full of Renwick doodles to pair with yesterday’s Benjamin post :)

First encounter

Wanted to try a bit of perspective work. Not 100% pleased but it’s not terrible either haha

Continuing on from yesterday’s post, another subgenre of fandom artwork I love is when a character is drawn meeting and reacting to an alternate version of themselves. Bonus if both versions of the character have wildly different personalities from one another!

A certain genre of artwork I’ve always liked is reimagining a character whose role or most prominent trait has been reversed or “swapped”. It’s always super fascinating to me seeing the different ways a character can change just by switching up their most predominant characteristics or changing up their role in the story. I’ve had this sort of role reversal image in my head with Benjamin for a while now, and while most certainly not canon, is still an interesting take on my own work!

There wasn’t much time to draw anything today, so I figured I’d share another study to go with yesterday’s post, this time with everyone’s eyes. I’ve had this drawn for a while now but it saves me the effort of having to draw something new lol. By utilizing different shapes for everyone’s eyes, I think I’ve effectively defeated the curse of “same face syndrome”, what do you think?

Decided to do a bit of studying today. I’ve never quite been that good at hands, at least not in my opinion, so I figured just some quick practice wouldn’t hurt. They’re a little more detailed than they normally are in my usual style, but I think it works well enough as a reference for the future.

Just some anatomy practice doodles with Ben, mostly as an excuse to show off his arms. I bet you thought he wore gloves, didn’t you?

I still think my placement and shading needs some work, but for what it is, I don’t think it’s half bad!

Some more of Renwick! As the main character of my future game he’s going to be pretty important, so he’s probably going to take up the majority of the art on this blog for a while, especially since there’s not really any “theme” or method to my posting lol

He’s in a silly goofy mood :)
