02/28/22: Lots of stuffs today! Found a lot of clearance at Walmart and can’t forget Salvation Army Store. I first went there and for $43 with tax it was some kiddy ps2, wii and DS games. Also some PSP games and dvds.

After that it was a trip to Walmart. I found quite a bit of clearance and it was quite cheap too. I found ps4, ps5, xbone and Switch games at less than $10 each! I’m kicking myself cause I should have went yesterday. I got an alert from my Walmart app that there was new markdowns. I could have bought even more games. But someone beat me to them yesterday. Oh well. So yeah, some games have a higher priced sticker but that’s not exactly what I paid.

So, after paying for these, I decided to drive to the two other Walmart stores in Imperial County (where I live in Southern California). And I didn’t have much luck. Both of these other stores did have clearance games. But not as low as the first one I went to. They had many of the same titles that I just bought, and others. But they were above $20 each. Which really isn’t that bad. But you can’t go back once you paid $5 for a $20 game. I’ll just have to wait and hope they drop down soon. I can wait.

So now that you saw these games. Maybe go to your Walmart and check to see if they got a nice enough clearance price for you. Good luck and I hope you find lots.

02/19/22: Drove today to Yuma Arizona. In search of goodies. And while Walmarts did have some clearance games, it was nothing outstanding. Nothing waiting a bit longer can help. But I did hit up the Goodwills. And like many times, their games stuff was overpriced. So I went instead to the book area to look for comics. And some kid beat me to them. He had a nice stack going. Good for him. I saw he had some Tokyo Ghoul Manga, indies, and some Marvel ones too. I’m happy to see a new generation of kids on the hunt. So I went through the Novels section and I pulled out those three books. About $7ish for them.

Then it was off to a Super Pawn, there I picked up five blurays for about $13 plus tax. That Matrix steelbook looks nice and World War Z has a mini artbook in it. I got one game each from the two gamestops in town. A switch and ps4 game. Paid their retail price.

Speaking of retail, I went to their best buy too. I went there a few weeks ago and I saw Bloodstained 2 was a new release, but I left it. I thought I would be able to find it locally. But my closest Best buys copies ran out. So I got lucky and found it again when I went back. I also got that prinny collection too. Which are ports of PS2 rpgs. It’s pretty much $40 everywhere now. I was going to buy it during Christmas, but the Best Buy people put spider wrap alarms on them directly on the packaging and they got the sides dug in by the wires. And the cardboard doesn’t fare much better at Gamestop. This one here was in a plastic shell. So it’s in better conditions. I hope you all have a great weekend of finds too.

02/16/22: Stuff I’ve picked up lately! Most of it today at the fleamarket. First finds were a bit pricy for my cheap-ass but older stuff is getting a bit harder to find. For $32 dollars it was Mike Tysons Punch-out and Turtles 2 for NES. The guy also had Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 at $20 each, but I passed on them. I think I can flip the ones I got here for a decent amount. Then for $18 I got eleven movies. Mostly blurays, some Tarantino stuff and a sealed super Mario bros DVD. After that it was a new jigsaw puzzle and three ps3 games for $11. I kept finding movies at different places, so I bought them, at a dollar each, why not? That Police Squad is the precursor to the Naked gun movie series. And I’m a sucker for old obscure anime. He didn’t show up last week, but the guy who’s been selling lots of videogames is back again. He doesn’t have as much as in the past, but he’s still got a few surprises. I didn’t buy that much from him today, as I spent a decent chunk on those other NES games, and I wasn’t expecting him. But here’s what I got for $45: A not for resale genesis Sonic 1, a ps2, Xbox and GameCube game, two Xbox 360 games and three NES games. The Gyromite is a 5-screw variant which I’m fairly sure it’s got the adapter inside it. And the switch and ps4 games were from gamestop, purchased on Monday. I used my monthly coupon on one of them. And finally a Rock wrestling toy for a dollar. Thrift stores this week have been a bust. Mostly clothes and no games or movies yet.

Wednesday fleamarket finds! For $20 it was a bunch of gaming accessories. A ps3 controller charging dock, an OG Xbox controller, a three button genesis controller, a controller to USB adapter, a wii motion plus dongle and three ps2 and Xbox memory cards. I then also found two sealed dvds for a dollar each. And for $6.00 all together a Power Rangers comic, Overwatch ps4 and a bluray.

The second pic here is from two different sellers. Left side were all $2.00 each. $18 total for mostly ps3 games and a wii and ps4 game. The games on the right side were $32. Guy at first said $4 each then said 3 for $10. So I went for more games. It was a mix of 360, wii, Xbox and ps3. And I also picked up a dvd series and an anime.

05/03/22: I got these at $3.50 each today at one of the thrift stores in town. I don’t have Mafia 2, but the rest I do. I’m going to flip the rest at a Mexican comic-con Convention in a few weeks that am attending. They also had a ps3 slim with two controllers for $50. But I didn’t feel like buying it.

My Wednesday finds! Missed going to the fleamarket last week since I had to get my mom’s medication. But not this week. The place was pretty slow, but I found stuff. For $20 dollars it was eight OG Xbox games a pokemon dvd and an empty Logitech case. I think it might have had a wireless keyboard in it once, but I’m going to use it for storing my loose GBA carts. Then for $5.00 I found a base Xbox 360 with no extra parts. It’s always a risk buying these, but I’ll take the chance. Plus its got the HDMI port in the back. And I’ve leaned that these are more reliably designed. Next, I found two unopened Magic the gathering packs, paid a dollar each for them. Lastly, I found ps1 stuff. A wrestling game and a demo disc. No manual, but $2.00 for both was good.

Next, was a trip to the thrift store. Not Salvation Army though. This was a different place that has weird business hours. I’ve been going to Salvation Army Store all week. But their donations are slow and I’ve found nothing good to brag about here. Anyways, this other thrift store has other random things. But not what I’m on the hunt for. But they priced their stuff cheap. I paid $5.00 for five books and four movies. I got a lot of Nostalgia for old, spooky, mysterious readers digest books like these. Before YouTube and before the internet, books like these kept a young me busy at the library. I have many of these books already, and I suspect some might be doubles, but the price was right.

03/21/22: What nice finds to start the week! After an emotional weekend, I start this Monday spending my cash at the Salvation Army Store. The border crossing into the US was extra long today, but I still made it on time to the thrift store. Upon opening, I found three white trash bags filled with movies. I grabbed them all and started sorting them. I tossed aside scratched and incomplete items. I think someone in town must have made his entire movie collection digital. I went crazy making a huge pile of movies to buy. Along the way, I found a Walking Dead board game and some artwork. Once I made it to the register with my three bags, to pay; I found a box there with some ps3 games. The manager put a sign on them at $5.00 each. I told the cashier to sell me the games at $3.00 since I’m buying a ton of movies. They said yes. So I got a nice selection of games too. It’s 133 movies and 19 games. So I paid about $175 plus tax for it all!
