my first vglnt playthrough was completely blind one - i haven’t knew a thing about it, or about themes it’s exploring. AND i had no idea it’s the part of the trilogy can you imagine ( ‾́ ◡ ‾́ )
so the story of jo’vanni, campaner'ra and mar’so, was my selling point; my moment of “no return”. that scene in the cabin?? i think i stared at the tanning rack for good couple of minutes…………
never before i saw someone using skyrim mechanics in such twisted, hypnotizing way. moment ago that rack was nothing but a wacky model; place for npc to occasionally stuck in. and here i am, choosing between laughing or throwing up simply because im looking at it
so yeah, drawing jo’vanni?? feels absolutely right.
im again replaying the trilogy so i can text here bits and pieces alongside with fanart if that’s okay. you’re 25/8 welcome to share your experience btw!! my comments section are finally works and well it such a thoughtfully made trilogy, it deserve to be talked about
so from first to last (from left to right) oh, and spoilers warning!
1.jhunal the black fabulously leaving the place. bard, covered in blood of his victims (or maybe in color of the red stone? hmmm) dissociate himself in two empty shells. lamae is a dead bird - innocent fragile beauty that died for nothing.
2. jhunal showing who he really is. from his golden mask grows seeds of fear and rot. eye means hermaeus everlasting presence, and my dovahkiin, ripped in two on the background is faceless, because there hundreds of other people oc’s out there, playing the same mod.
3. molag caught in something like a herbarium. he is still too big, too powerful and too “im the main force here” to be scared, but what he doesn’t know is that its not going to help him this time. he has some red ace in his pocket tho.
