1960 Porsche 356B Outlaw - Concours Restoration,

This is an exceptionally good 356B that remains with it’s matching numbers and has been restored into an outlaw spec 356. It was delivered new to an American solider based in Roswell, New Mexico, the owner then relocated to Connecticut where following his death the car remained in a barn until 2017 when it was found and sold to the UK. The car was found with 27,225 miles on the odometer which is believed to be the original mileage, once the car had arrived in the UK a four year restoration commenced, some of the UK’s leading experts were involved including; 911 Rennsport, Workshop Seventy7, Jaz Porsche, Riviera Autobody and Roger Bray.

The car was stripped back to bare metal, repairs and custom work were made to the body, new panels were fitted, the engine and gearbox, which are original to the car, where completely rebuilt plus the running gear, suspension and brakes were refurbished or replaced with new components. Re-chroming of all the brightwork was carefully done.

A bespoke interior and headlining were created and fitted with luxurious Scottish Muirhead leather and German weave carpet, the original gauges were professionally refurbished, after four years of restoration logging an insane number of man hours and an eye watering amount spent, the car was complete from a total nut and bolt restoration in this super desirable specification.

LIFE/STYLE

Graphic designer, photographer and filmmaker Dirk Behlau aka @pixeleye doesn’t do things by halves. And so his latest work, Squeezed Up, is not only a cool book of his photographs but also a documentary film. What’s it about? Everything that’s fun: hot rodding, Polynesian pop, Tiki culture, tattoos and Kustom Kulture. The native of Bonn, Germany, traveled through southern California with four friends, meeting painters, surfers, tattoo artists, bartenders and other strange birds. The film isn’t premiering in L.A., as you’d might expect, but in Helsinki. And you can definitely count on the Leningrad Cowboys being there. When Behlau photographed the Finnish rock band several years ago, they didn’t let him go back home but took him straight to Mexico where he accompanied them for three weeks at the Carrera Panamericana. You can find even more cultural tips in the current #rampmagazine nr. 49
