‘Yuri is my Job!’ Anime Officially Announced; PV Released

On Saturday, it was announced that Miman’s comedy Yuri manga Yuri is my Job! (Watashi no yuri wa oshigotodesu!) will be receiving an anime adaptation. The adaptation leaked when a website domain was registered for the anime last month.

A Twitter page and the website for the anime were also officially launched on Saturday. A PV video featuring the anime was uploaded to YouTube by production company Infinite (Flip Flappers).

The website announced key staff for the anime. Yuri is my Job will be directed by Hijiri Sanpei, who previously worked as an assistant director on Ctirus, at Passione (Citrus) and Studio Lings. Character designs are provided by Taisuke Iwasaki.

The anime will star Yui Ogura as Hime Shirasagi and Sumire Uesaka as Mitsuki Ayanokouji. They previously voiced the characters in a PV commemorating the release of volume 7 and hosted a special stream Saturday on Ichijinsha’s YouTube channel to promote the upcoming Japanese release of volume 10.

Series creator Miman also shared the news on his Twitter, posting a promotional illustration to celebrate the announcement.

Yuri is my Job! has been serialized in Comic Yuri Hime since 2016. The 10th volume is scheduled for release in Japan on May 18. Kodansha Comics publishes eight volumes of the series in English. The publisher describes the manga:

Hime is a picture-perfect high school princess—she’s admired by all and never trips up! So when she accidentally injures a café manager named Mai, she’s willing to cover some shifts to keep her facade intact. To Hime’s surprise, the café is themed after a private school where the all-female staff always puts on their best act for their loyal customers. However, under the guidance of the most graceful girl there, Hime can’t help but blush and blunder! Beneath all the frills and laughter, Hime feels tension brewing as she finds out more about her new job and her budding feelings …
