Anyways another reminder that Nate was kinda showing red flegs in the book 3 demo but i see green. His deflecting was crazy, and I loved it. I can fix him. He def has a dark side that he’s constantly trying to hide. A little controlling maybe.
Am I the only American that DOESN’T read wayhaven in a british accent. Like i forget that it’s supposed to be british…also i imagine that felix’s voice sounds like tom holland’s as spiderman.

What if he only likes the idea of my detective. He wants to be close to humanity so bad and being in love with the detective is as close as he can get. He loves the idea of her being a human so much. He has put her humanity on a pedestal because he believes humanity is so perfect. But if the detective even considers being a vampire he might question her. See her as flawed. Because deep down he believes he’s a monster. Humans are the examples of true judgment. Which is why he wants to avoid drinking the blood bag in front of the detective. Which is why he want the rest of UB to act a certain way while consuming blood bags. He is comfortable drinking it without the detective being there because he is around others like him…other “monsters”. If the detective reacted the way he believes she will act (regarding him drinking blood). Then he will truly think he is a monster. Which is also why he drinks so little. He wants to be human very badly. Nate is 6'4…there is no way half a bag is fulfilling his needs. He needsthe detective to stay human, to want to stay human….because his life depends on it. He lives through the detective. Which is why he may take a pause if the detective becomes a vampire.
I could probably write novels on the hidden potential angst the detective could feel about N not being in favor of them turning. The detective understanding is one thing and how it would make them feel is another thing
Follow up thought: would N be jealous that the detective has a choice
Just thought of the vampire diaries and how bonnie and damon got stuck in the other side…then i just imagined adam or mason being stuck with the detective in the other side.
Me after mason (who’s SUPPOSED to be my best friend) told nate and anyone close enough to hear that i was jealous of him getting attention from passing out blood drive flyers
Crying and throwing up rn….i just realized being in a relationship with nate might be hard….like stefan and damon in tvd…stefan liked the appeal of human elena while damon liked the appeal of vampire elena….what if nate only likes human detective
