#weight gain

LIVE

Sorry for not posting lately I been having personal issues in my life but now is good.

Since I talked about the “I used to be fat” show I will talk about another TV reality show that fueled my kink back when I was exploring it…

“Fit to Fat to Fit”. You might know this as Drew Manning’s personal web project that made him extremely famous over the Internet (though he basically copied the idea from Paul PJ James’s “Fit to Fat and Back”) ; he recently redid the Fit2Fat2Fit road to celebrate the anniversary of the project.

Well if you didn’t know there was an entire TV show about it! In each episode a fitness trainer had to get fat over four months (or five?) in order to then lose weight with an obese client.

I loved this show because it literaly showed you the steps and process of weight gain for each different trainer, both male and female (though to be honest I only watched the men episodes). You get to see their progression, step by step, each weigh-in, the comparison of their shirtless torsos as they grow bigger, etc… And then the evolution back to fitness.

However there is one thing you should except from this show if you ever decide to take a look, it is that each episode went THE EXACT SAME WAY. Like, you literaly compare them side by side, the same journey for each people when it comes to gaining weight. Every time they begin with actually accepting/enjoying their new “living large” and “letting go” lifestyle, every time for the first dozens of pounds they feel “free”, “liberated”, “joyful”, they appreciate this new lifetime… and then, as they get much bigger, they start to feel “depressed”, all the troubles of being big hit them all at once, they feel sad and exhausted and sick, and they can’t wait for it all to be over so they can train back. Every single episode.

The only things that vary across these episodes are the amount of weight gained ; obviously the different personalities and quirks of each trainer ; and eventually some complications (such as one trainer that had such a hard time gaining weight he couldn’t meet his weight goal by the end of the gaining period ; or another that had to stop because some old heart problems got re-activated)

The first season goes for the “one trainer per episode” rule and has quite a variety of guys - white, black, blond-haired, dark-haired, bearded, not-bearded, old, young… The second season I kind-of-watch but I was disappointed to see they went with a different approach, with all the trainers being grouped in every episodes and their gaining journey being stretched over several episodes - plus of the two male trainers doing this, one had to drop out for health reasons and was replaced by a woman, so that meant less eye candy for me…

But yeah beyond that, the way things are staged, shot, talked about, it makes you wonder if some kinky people wasn’t behind the scenes for the “weight gain” part of the episodes because boy is this a treat for folks like us

[The original post got taken down for mysterious reasons]

“I used to be fat” was one of those MTV weight-loss shows with a simple premise. Each episode followed an obese (or morbidly obese) teenager, paired them with a special trainer in order for them to lose all their extra weight, and everyone ends up happy, tralalala you know the song. Was I the only one that watched it around?

A long time ago, years and years ago, before I had my blogs, I actually watched a handful of episodes (those featuring male teens of course) back when MTV had the episodes on replay on their website. There were very nice shots of shirtless fat bodies, good before and after comparisons (since the show was about losing weight), it explored a wide panel of why and how people could end up to the sizes they were… And I notably remember one episode that quite stood out because in this one the teenager supposed to lose weight (by “teenager” they also included college students and young adults, so they were all pretty high up in the age ranks, there wasn’t one fifteen years old for example, I think the youngest was 16, but most went from 17 to 19 maybe more) - in this one episode the teenager, encouraged by his girlfriend (who actually had gotten a bit chubby herself), actually refused to lose weight and ended up deciding to work on living with his current body and appreciating it. While the audience clearly criticized him as being “lazy” and his girlfriend as toxic/manipulative, from my point of view and seeing the awkward way things were done in the episode, I did end up wondering if this couple wasn’t a bit… on “our” side, and that the girlfriend and/or boyfriend ended up realizing it while filming the episode. I don’t know…

Anyway lot of good memories and nostalgia associated with this show. Trouble is… MTV has taken down its replays. A few episodes can be found scattered across Youtube and Dailymotion, but they are rare, all about the girls, and often fragmented and/or of poor quality. The only way one seems able to watch this show anymore is to buy it from iTunes, Amazon Prime or Microsoft. AND even bigger problem… these websites only hold two third of the actual episodes. Both show you “volume 1″ and “volume 2″ of the series, around ten episodes each - but there was a third set of ten episodes. Not only are they listed on Wikipedia, I also actually watched a few of these missing episodes on the MTV replays, and there are still articles online about them. But you can’t buy them anywhere else…

So I am wondering: does anyone remember or know about this show? Has anyone kept the episodes stashed somewhere or recorded them? I tried to see if there were other streaming websites or some torrents out there, but I could find nothing… If you have any info, or have kept some of the episodes (especially the ones that are “lost” for now) don’t hesitate to share here or to contact me!

let’s see if tumblr will allow this one :)
