Over the last few days, one of our colleagues has been subjected to intense and repeated harassment by users on Tumblr. Our colleague did not report this harassment or take action themselves: independently, Tumblr’s Trust and Safety team identified the harassment and took action on accounts and posts that violated Tumblr’s Community Guidelines, using moderation tools that have been used many times before.
Discussion and criticism of fandoms on Tumblr is entirely valid—it’s important to think critically about the content we consume. However, harassing and bullying someone based on the content they consume is unacceptable. Our colleague has been repeatedly accused of being a white supremacist and a TERF—they are neither. Simply saying something untrue was not cause for suspension in this case; rather, it was the sustained malicious campaign of harassment that triggered our response.
Most of the moderation that takes place on Tumblr by Trust and Safety is unseen—violative content is removed swiftly, most often before it is ever seen by other users. We work hard every day to ensure that all blogs, posts, and accounts which violate any of our Terms of ServiceorCommunity Guidelines are actioned rapidly. If we’ve missed any, please report them by following these stepsorusing this form, and they will be handled as soon as possible.

I’m not sure what possessed me to make a wire-wrapped bracelet over the course of several midnights, but here it is. Each link of this 1mm sterling silver rolo chain has a bead pendant. Bottom layer is alternating transparent yellow African trade and peach satin vintage glass, upper layer is cranberry vintage glass and chestnut 15/0 Japanese delica. Faceted Hessonite garnet drop on the clasp. Fits a 4cm wrist, so something for slim minis. This will be in the collection of things I’ll be bringing to the LA Dolpa next weekend unless someone claims it before then. :)
