Foxglove Digitalis purpurea
The mottled markings on foxglove flowers were once thought to be the hand-prints of fairies. In Gaelic, it was called lus nam ban-sith - ‘the fairy woman’s plant’.
This is the same foxglove I previously posted, just taken at a slightly different angle with a warmer background thanks to the woodland behind the plant.
