recap pic from last weekend’s #WildStormStudios 25th anniversary panel, that’s me and editor Ben Abernathy in the lower right, we both started Wildstorm in early 2000 together. Ben and I have been on Wildcats all the way up to Justice League Beyond with Batman Beyond, and now back for the more. we also both got married on the same exact day. not to each other.
He is also responsible for trusting me to paint my own covers and pages on a monthly book. That confidence in my work lead to me taking on painting all my Batman and Detective covers, the series Batman: Lil Gotham, and pretty much how I work today on #Descender. Confidence, trial, error, all rolled into one :)

circa 2004 as well, my final cover to #WildStormStudios Wildcats v3.0 . you can probably tell I was already struggling with Photoshop, did my best but this was the beginning of the end for me coloring digitally.

another #WildStormStudios flashback to 2004 with cover 23 to Wildcats v3.0 . I don’t remember much, but I thought it would be fun to draw the entire cover with a flat carpenter’s pencil sharpened with a toothed kitchen knife.
