in 10th grade i had the cruelest, scariest boyfriend. he left me for a middle schooler. she was incredibly sweet and i lost track of her but today, i found her instagram and she is so happy. she has a new boyfriend who is gentle and kind and her age. and i have a girlfriend who is gentle and kind and my age and we are celebrating our fourth anniversary soon. we have a cat together. i make blankets to keep us warm in our apartment.

i am so filled with joy for this girl. this world is so much better than i could’ve imagined when i was 16. if she ever comes across this, i hope she knows that i care about her and i’m sending her light and love from far away.
