Fromthis cute yarn came these socks. That lace pattern would probably look better with a unicolour yarn, but it’s cute anyway. Spring socks, definitely!

I made these a few weeks ago. They are “name socks” - a Finnish designer Niina Laitinen made a pattern for every alphabet, so you can “write” your name or any other word on your socks. These spell my name, Minna.
Here are the alphabets. White (purple on my socks) is the background colour, grey makes the pattern.

First socks of the year! I’m not really sure about the colours, kinda dark and gloomy even with the orange. Oh well, the person getting these doesn’t know they’re gonna get any socks so they can’t complain :D

My aunt loves everything pink and bling, so I’m sure she’ll like these. I do not like pink nor bling so these were hell to make, but they turned out pretty nice.

Wool slippers for my dad for Father’s Day gift. He was so surprised, he asked me where I got them. The look on his face when I told I made them myself was priceless.

Socks for my godfather, done. The colours are a bit boring but I wanted to play it safe, in case he’s not a fan of colourful socks. The pattern is nice anyway, and really super easy.

These socks are for my best friend. The yarn colour is “Denim blue”, I think it goes well with the pattern.

These are for my brother. Again, complementary colours. The black is actually bluish black. It was pretty boring making these, why do people have such huge feet.

A friend bought this yarn for herself, but didn’t like how thin it was (it’s not even!!) and gave it to me. So I knit her socks. Came out nice.

Mom asked me to make slippers for her to wear while working. She massages people and animals and wanted something warm and comfy, and specifically requested grey.

My friend/co-worker asked me to knit her socks. She knits herself but it’s different when they are made by someone else.

For my grandmother’s 80th birthday. She has always kept us in socks, until recent years when her vision got bad and she couldn’t knit anymore. She’s super proud of me, of that I learned to knit all by myself. So I made her socks.
I mostly like to knit cables or lace but I thought that because her vision is blurry it’s not obvious she could see any fancy structuring. So stripes, I thought, but something fun. And I like to think these are fun.
