Funny story, my SO (Dr. Liebling) and I went to Cedar Point this summer and of course had to ride Steel Vengeance because our adrenaline needs keep growing. We’d only ridden a couple of rides before it and had been shoving my phone into Dr. Liebling’s deep roomy man-pockets when we were on coasters. (Petition to give women’s clothing actual pockets, please and thank you.)
We did our quick-put-everything-in-pockets-or-down-sports-bras dance before we squished secured our tushes into the seats. We may have fist bumped in our excitement. Don’t judge.
The. Ride. Was. Incredible.
It changes directions on a whim and takes your stomach from middle earth to mars and back with air-time pop-hills.
And apparently, it also can perfectly press the lock button 5 times in a row in your partner’s pocket…
We didn’t know until we’d race back around into the fast past line (yeah, we’re *those* nerds) and I had 3 calls from my mom and 2 from my dad and 18 texts from both of them asking if I was okay.
Luckily, I don’t believe the police or EMS nearby were alerted, but word to the wise that it might not automatically reach out to emergency services other than the number you assign as your emergency contact.
And be prepared to apologize profusely to your parents that thought you were dead.

My fusion of Lileep and Crustle! The concept in the Pokedex entry came from the name combination incidentally having ‘steep’ in it. Already thinking a bit about a pre-evolution with Cradily and Dwebble… Anyway, I really like the way the colored lines make the lineart pop in this one :]
