Hey. Sometimes, something just *does not work out* and the only solution is to scrap it and start over. It happens. Unfortunately the sizing on the Arches paper I was using on this artwork went bad. My watercolours just turned into a muddy mess after a couple of layers. I tried to make lemonade from those lemons, and fixed some mistakes on the new version - and went all out on the details, because why not!

Me, everytime I ink: “I’ll just add all the details at the ink stage. It’ll make my life so much easier when painting, and quicker too, since I can just rely on simple washes then.” Me, everytime I paint: “What a spectacular mistake.”
