This summer is going to change everything.
Comic book geek Wesley Hudson excels at two things: slacking off at his job and pining after his best friend, Nico. Advice from his friends, ‘90s alt-rock songs, and online dating articles aren’t helping much with his secret crush. And his dream job at Once Upon a Page, the local used bookstore, is threatened when a coffeeshop franchise wants to buy the property. To top it off, his annoying brother needs wedding planning advice. When all three problems converge, Wes comes face-to-face with the one thing he’s been avoiding—adulthood.
Now, confronted with reality, can Wes balance saving the bookstore and his strained sibling relationship? Can he win the heart of his crush, too?

I still can’t get over this cover and that I have a THIRD BOOK coming out in less than 8 months! On August 4th, prepare to laugh, swoon, and avoid adulting!
There are two things Mark Oshiro is great at: (a) brilliant writing – their debut YA novel, Anger Is a Gift is a heartwrenching, powerful, must-read and (b) finding new ways to make me cry. Their blurb for How To Be Remy Cameron confirms both. I’m so grateful for this award-winning author’s kindness and utter love for Remy and his story.

So… I have some exciting news:
I’M WRITING MORE BOOKS!
I’m so grateful that my next YA book, RIGHT WHERE I LEFT YOU, will be published by Viking/Penguin in Spring 2022. Can’t wait for everyone to meet Isaac, Diego, Davi, and all the other characters in Isaac’s journey.
I lived through the trend of YA authors killing off their main female character in the last book. Nothing can hurt me anymore.
