LIVE

gliphyartfan:

Hello lovelies!

I had been discussing this with the lovely @yandere-linked-universe a while back and she helped mold this with me so decided to share it with you guys.

So I was thinking about the mafia au and then I was thinking about the self aware au and TTAU (like always)

And I had the idea that, even if (y/n) HAD successfully gone back to her world. The chain would have eventually found their way to her,

(And for the sake of my sanity, their games don’t exist here.)

But I made it slightly different. (This is where a bit of TTAU comes in)

Where instead of them going to her present.

They went different periods of the past.

And they went back to the combined amount of years of their journey up to meeting her.

So to explain better: in ttau they go back to the start of their journeys and have to walk forward til they meet rest of the chain and eventually (y/n).

in this one, they are sent back to the same year equivalent to when they started their journey (so if Wind started his journey when he was 12 and met (y/n) two years later when he was 14 then he would be sent back two years in (y/n)’s world before he bumps into her, where Twilight would be sent back the the age of 18, which is when he started his journey.

So For example, Time turning into a kid and found by cops and he runs off.

Now i’m using Time as an example since he’s the one with the most years between his journey up to meeting (y/n)

This is much more conflicting for the heroes since this is a DIFFERENT REALITY ALL TOGETHER. Nothing is familiar, the government system is all over the place, there are no monsters but there are things so much worse lurking in the dark.

And since Time would be the farther back, imagine if he decided that this world was going to forced to bow to the demands of the chain.

And their demands were to give (y/n) everything she wanted.

So here’s where the mafia au comes in.

Time is an orphan, he slowly realizes this world wouldn’t work to his methods, to none of their methods. So he would do just as he did when he first started out and createnew methods.

After all, he still had his ocarina

So he takes full advantage of what abilities he has and slowly gaining street cred, making a name for himself.

Time doesn’t have any mercy for insects and this world is full of them.

So by the time he ‘meets up’ with one of the other heroes, he’s flawlessly adapted to the rules of this strange world and he has a long part of the underground in his possession.

This helps when the second person with the longest time between their journey and meeting (y/n) arrives (one of his men heard of a strange person wandering around with strange items), he realizes what the circumstances are and is able to prepare for their arrivals.

So when they all gather together, Time is able to help them adjust to the world and they all take to it like zora to water.

So, by the time (y/n) re-enters their lives, well…she has no more excuses not to stay by their side, now does she?

Hello! The response for my last post was a delight! so I managed to clean this one up to post it!

Again, thank you @yandere-linked-universe for the wonderful help with this one. (Check out their stuff, it’s really good!)

Mafia au ahoy! Enjoy!

GLIPHY I AM LOOKING!!!

AND IM SO HAPPY YOURE BACK!

I have so much to say about this omg. First of all, this is an amazing AU and I’m LIVING for it! The chain as Mafia members is massive galaxy brain- especially when they’re running the show and a good portion of underworld. Though, if they keep this up I’d imagine they’d end up ruling it as some point or another. Either way, it’s very on brand for the Yandere Chain, motives and all.

Now, listen, I have questions. You’ve mentioned the Biggoron sword, The Master Sword and Fi, and the initial Idea Post™️: with Times Ocarina (and isn’t that a terrifying thing-) and the boys with their “strange items.” So, I’m asking is: do they have all their items? Like Wild and his Sheikah slate (does that even work?) and Legend with his arsenal. How well does everyone’s magic work? Can Legend turn into Wolfie? Hyrule heal? There was the insinuation that there is some magic with the Master Sword, Fi, etc but ???? Are these questions that will, hopefully (and by the gods to I hope), will be answered as you go??

I’minvested.

But, for this piece can I say I’m?? In love?? Meeting Time first was a solid move on everyone’s part. He’s the Boss, after all but I got a laugh and highkey suspicious at the “so please, relax” because the first thing I thought of was “said the devil” as soon as I read it. He was so polite and kind, but I knew damn well what this man was doing. You don’t get into the position he’s in without some manipulation. Wouldn’t be surprised if now he’s got people watching our girl.

And then for everyone else?? *chefs kiss* the scenes with Legend, Wind, Wild and Twilight were amazing. The first three are literally unloading a body and arguing while Twilight mentions he’s got on in pieces in his trunk. The casual cruelty is astonishing, truly. Phenomenal. Drives in the point that, yes, they’re in another world, but their methods are still very much the same. Then there’s Wars with his own soldiers, Hyrule and Four essentially shutting down, and Sky trying to be logical and eventually going to sleep? Amazing.

I also really loved the fact that there’s… branches. Each Chain member has their own thing (I’m also interested in that topic. Gliphy please I gotta know-), but Time is the Boss. Much like the original dynamics because he was the oldest and the one willing to take the reins.

Speaking of that, people are now talking. The maids, the soldiers, anyone who saw them and know of the Text know that something big happened. I wonder how that’s gonna go down.

Gliphy, please this is amazing. I don’t have words right now my brain is big stupid but ugh your writing jajansiwbhew

@gliphyartfan tell me if I’m being annoying but I had an idea smack me across the face and ask me to call it a parental figure.

Somehow the mafia chain find out that (y/n) is needing money for her classes cue them being distressed cause they cant just send her money cause thats werid. I mean yeah its money but where the fuck did it come from and ‘do I have an old rich creeper or some shit. No. Shut down.’ So they cant. Thier goddess should be taken care of an not have to worry about anything. Let then take care of and worship you. Not to mention that their darling baby is a strong independant person who wants to do things on thier own. Respect.

What are our boys to do?

Well Time manipulatesarranges for her to wind up working at one of thier front businesses. The safest, easiest, job for her. Is it a made up position. Maybe. Does it pay way too much for what work she is doing. Probably. But its on the up and up.

Cue the boys making sure she doesnt catch wind of anything going on. Bullying any employee until they know she is to not know anything or its thier head on a platter.

The boys now have ready access to thier Goddess…..

That’s a really good idea!

(Who said you’re annoying me??? I’ll smack them with a fish!!! I’ll always enjoy additions to my aus! That’s the best thing you could give me!)

Maybe she kept it her family because she never wanted to burden them.

Surprise school fees? Maybe she decided to take more courses? Who knows, but she needs work and in a college area? Work is hard to come by.

So it would have to be close enough that she can get there in time from school while also having time for studying.

Plus she would want to save for the future. (Not that she would need to anytime soon with the boys around.)

She lives away from home so she would have to pay rent too. So a sudden debt would make her need to work.

And what a surprise that she gets a job that does everything she needs???

A bit of work cause she would be suspicious if it were TOO good to be true but it’s worth it for the benefits.

Plot twist: since it would still be when they first made contact with her, she wouldn’t be known by the chain’s men. So imagine her 'boss’ (one of Time’s men) deciding to treat her awful.

I won’t continue that line of thought but we all know how it ends for the ex-subordinate~!

Please don’t. I don’t want my brain smelling like fish lol.

I can just see it now. she works hard on handling it and handling on her own. Or just grins and bears it cause come on, that’s adult life. No matter how good a job is or how well you like it there is bound to be jerks or just sucky days. The days just become more frequent I guess. And sure maybe she ends up venting to one of the boys my money is on Wind cause come on, what is the harm in telling him. He is a totally safe bet right? He’s old enough to get it and not say ‘well just quit’ but young enough for him not to do something right?….right

Huh? What do you mean he was transferred out of the country?!

You said to at you so I at’ed you. Ignore if you like.

Trigger warnings: abuse, gore, and suicidal ideations.

Delilah Rossi, better known as Lilah was only a young college student when she was thrust into the world of Hyrule and becan accompanying the Chain in hopes of making it back home. Her story started before that, though the Chain was definitely more interesting than anything her life ever gave her before. It wasn’t her first exposure to the darkness that eats away at the edge of a man’s morality. That was something she lived her whole life with.

But instead of sickened love it was only contempt her father felt for her. When she was young he didn’t want anything to do with her really. Because what use is a baby, it’s rather annoying.

Lilah isn’t sure what her father had been like before the injury that took away his ability to compete as a gymnast,  as it had been before she was born. She wasn’t sure if he had ever been different from the controlling narcissist who hadn’t cared about her until she could give something to him. The one thing he was missing.

He had been an-almost-olympic medalist. But due to an injury he never made it that far, what was rightfully his was ripped right away from him and no one seemed to care except him. It was unfair. And one day while watching his neglected wife and child an idea struck. He watched his wife coach their baby into taking steps.

He could work with this. He thought as he approached the two and picked the girl up from under her arms and held her up, her other just watching on allowing the man to hold her

Yes…yes I can work with this.” And thus began hell.

Her father was a controlling man. What she could eat and drink, who she spoke to and associated with (a very limited list), and all her free time was dedicated to gymnastics. Restrictive diets, endless hours of cardio and time in the gym brought the girl into an almost constant state of exhaustion, wandering through life in an enervateddaze.

And she could not step a toe out of line, or it will be much worse for her. She can’t count the number of concussions she must have gotten from being beat upside the head after stumbling on a landing. Her pinky had been broken when she couldn’t get the uneven bar routine right- twice. And that is in combination with the regular ‘incidents’ when her father is in a bad mood. He was always good at hiding the marks, after all appearance is half the point of winning a competition. The prettier she was the more likely she would win medals.

Lilah could feel the chains tightening around her, drowning her will to fight…to want. What was the point of anything, desiringanything, if she could never have it. Having to dampen her natural curiosity and ambitions in fearof displeasing him. She felt suffocated and broken, oddly enough those chains being the thing that kept her from fully falling apart. Keep your head down, just do the tasks in front of you. Go to sleep and wait for the next morning where it would start again. Praying that maybe you just wouldn’t wake up. Keep one foot in front of the other and you won’t stumble as much. Don’t look down into the abyss or you’ll loose yourself in it. She was forgetting what her own laugh sounded like. When was the last time she saw any light in her own eyes? So she existed…she just did that…existed. Why did she have to exist?

It all fell apart for her father when she was 16.

It had been a minor competition but would be the greatest victory of her monochrome existence. She had been ill, most likely a common cold or flu but due to her poor lifestyle it was hitting her harder than most. She blacked out on one of the turns on the uneven bars. She awoke mere moments later to burning in her side and a difficulty breathing, what she later learned was a broken rib. Everything felt underwater and muffled, but he could hear her father yell at her to get the fuckup, even if it sounded far away. She remembered the world turning as her body moved to obey the command out of habit. Lilah was barely on her feet before she was hunched over vomiting, the motion doing horrific things to her broken rib, sending a scorching burningburningburningI’mburning fire ripping through her chest. Was that screaming, she thinks she hears screaming but her eyes are blurry with tears and a red haze that starts to overcome it. Later she learned her eyes had turned bloodshot from her blood pressure spiking.

She had never been more thankful to lose consciousness. She hoped that waking never happened with this blissful sleep….

_______

Lilah’s mother finally came clean under the pressure of authorities and CPS, though her fathers actions had very much sealed the deal with the witness’s presence. Lilah was removed from their care and put in foster care with a wonderful family. Her father was put in prison and her mother disappeared. She was guaranteed a restraining order the moment her father left prison.

It took years of therapy and multiple missteps but as she became a young woman, she bloomed. Her curiosity was back, and she developed an open and friendly deposition. She became rather goofy, as if she had bottled all those years worth of joy and energy up, only to open it and experience it all at once. She was laughing almost every day now, her eyes practically glowed. She had a special love for life because she didn’t have one for a long time. She felt like Pinocchio when he was turned into a real boy and she would not waist one moment of it.

  There’s no strings on me.

But similar chains will return…in another world and form.

_______________________________________

Hey guys! that was Lilah’s backstory right up until she got transported to meet the Chain. I will be doing a piece on how she fell for each of our handsome boys and became desperate for each’s love. Then I’m doing on on the decent into madness. As you can guess the controlling behavior from the boys will ring the bell a little too close to home for her.

And I want to add that she never told any of the Chain about her father. She calls her foster parents her parents. She keeps her father dead and buried in her life.

I eagerly await your continued work!

Ugh, I hate editing

Sorry for the wait! Enjoy!

Legend was with Time when the meeting was nearing it’s start.

Rarely did they gather in such a official manner, preferring more casual settings. But then again, it was a occasion of great significance.

“Oh, look who decided to show up.” The veteran was sitting on the conference table, looking up at his fellow advisor with a unimpressed glance.

“Fancy meeting you here.” Warriors’ irritation was immediately noticeable.

“What nonsense are you going to spout again?.” Was the answering reply, moving into the room and taking a seat to the left of Time, who was taking the moment before the meeting started to get some work done.

“You didn’t seem to mind it when my ‘nonsense’ got you that shiny car.” Legend came the sharp grinned retort, to the former war captain’s annoyance.

Look here-”

“Why’d you called us Vet?” Wind interjects, having arrived a few minutes earlier, his head resting on his arms, boredly watching the two snip at each other.

“I was hoping to go check out Fonzo’s wares today.” He continues, tapping his fingers on the table.

“Literallyanything that bastard has, you can steal yourself with half the issues.” Legend throws back with a roll of his eyes.

Yes, but I don’t want to.” Wind whines, closing his eyes.

“That’s because this world made you absolutely lazy you little sack of-”

“Is there a problem?” Was the first thing Twilight asks when he walks in, Sky quietly following behind, curiosity clear on both their faces.

“Maybe, likely not.” The veteran shrugs, turning away from Wind and examining his nails with disinterest.

“What’s going on? An attack?”

Time looks up and nods to Hyrule in greeting, looking his shoulder and spotting Wild sulking behind him.

Time just gave Wild a look. “…You tried to steal Hyrule’s sword didn’t you.” It wasn’t a question.

“…Four won’t give me his to spar with…” he grumbles.

“And I never will.” The blacksmith replied confidently, patting his arm as he walked passed them. Wild huffing in response.

Everyone takes their seats. Legend still sitting on the table, legs kicking in the air.

“Well…” Time taps the tip of his pen on the table and looks at Legend.

“We’re all here.” He eyed his advisor with curiosity. “I doubt you would waste our time so suddenly.”

“Well the best things arrive suddenly .” Legend says vaguely, taking out his phone.

“Well I certainly hope it’s worth the wait.”

Legend hums. “I’ll let you all be the judge.” He taps the screen a few times, crossing his arms again and remaining silent.

Watching them.

Time wants to question him further when his phone.

Whenall of their phones ring.

They look at each other and at Legend, who wasn’t saying a word. Each pulling their phones out and checking the message they received.

For a brief pause, there is no sound, of breathing, of movement. Everything was still.

The next moment, as an explosion of cries erupted, Warriors added to it as he slams his fist on the table with a loud bang, swiftly grabbing the veteran by his shirt and pulling him to his face.

“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU PLAYING AT?!?!” He roars at him.

Gettingawfully tired of you grabbing me like this captain.” His hiss suggested he was close to responding to War’s actions.

I’m getting tired of you doing shit like this.

“And this world has warped your mind if you think I would ever joke about this.” Legend’s grin was full of teeth and warning.

“Don’t make me laugh.” He roughly shakes Legend once. “Out of all the days, all of them! The one day you skip out on work to go to class, a class you didn’t even want to attend, you find her.” Wars barks a laugh, it was almost unhinged. His eyes swirling with doubt, fear, desperation.

“You…youfind her, without even trying! You…” he shakes his head slowly, the twisted look of disbelief and anger clear for everyone to see. “You can’t be that lucky. Not like this. You just can’t.

Legend grimaced at his words.

“Believe me, if I hadn’t taken that photo right there, if I didn’t have proof to tell me it wasn’t a trick. I wouldn’t have believed that it happened.”

How could she appear now….” Everyone looks over to Hyrule.

Hyrule’s voice cracking with emotion, tears welling up in his eyes. His shaking hands weakly holding up his phone.

Whynow?” He asks desperately, to who was unclear. “Why after all this time?”

Anyone outside this room would have assumed Hyrule didn’t want her to appear, by the way he acted.

But the eight of them knew what he was really asking.

Why had it taken so long to find her? Why did they have to wait for so many years?

“I can’t tell you why,” Legend answers slowly, still held in the captain’s grip.

“We are nothing but strangers to her.” A thought that hurt to think.

Everyone took that in, each of them taking in the image in their phones.

She looked so carefree, so relaxed, so very very beautiful.

“She looks so happy.” Sky breaths out, bringing the phone closer to his face, as if it would allow him to reach her.

“Still the same beautiful heart.” Legend says softly, Warriors slowly letting go, a crooked frown on his face, a silent apology in his eyes.

Legends snorts softly and punches his arm hard. Smirking softly at the annoyance he received.

All was forgiven.

Their memories of their last moments with her still sting, even after so long. Their failure so much obvious now that they have a photo of her without the burdens they placed on her.

For a few minutes, they all stewed in their thoughts. Guilt, shame, regrets, hope, excitement and joy. All of it combined inside them.

“I don’t care how long it’s been.” Wind whispers, his eyes still staring at the picture.

“We found her, she’s here.” He looks up, joy in his face visible.

“How can I care about anything else when she’s here?”

“W-We should bring her here!” Sky suddenly exclaims, head shooting up to look at everyone.

“We have all the space, power, resources, and influence to keep her happy and safe!” He looked at everyone, setting his sights on Wild, whose eyes matched the former sky knight’s, swirling with anxious anticipation. “Do we have her address yet? Perhaps we can said a security detail to watch over her while we arrange a room for her, she can stay-”

We can’t.” Legend immediately interjects, shaking his head.

Sky flinched back at the rejection, gripping his phone so tightly that his knuckles were turning white.

“B-But-” Dropping his phone on the table, Sky placed both his hands on the table and stands up.

“She can’t stay out there!! It’s dangerous!!”

“We can’t.” Legend repeats himself, his voice dropping a pitch, shaking his head firmly, he gazed at Sky with warning.

“But she’s safer with us!” He throws out, frowning deeply at the veteran.

“And with all due respect, how come you get to dictate what we should do when it’s obvious we need to protect her.”

We. Can’t. Take. Her.” Legend slowly growls out through gritted teeth.

It was then that those who sided with Sky began to jump in.

That’s not fair!

Please Legend, be reasonable!”

Look, maybe if we-

Just-” Legend slams his own hand on the table, louder than Warriors’ had been, catching everyone’s attention and silencing them.

Time watches everything in silence.

“Welost her because we were fucking greedy.” He growls out between clenched teeth, his voice full of barely repressed anger.

“Has this world honestly dulled our senses that we cannot even agree on a logical course of action?? Has this world blinded us to our own MISTAKES now that we have some sort of foothold that we feel the need to arrogantly lord it over others? To use it against Her Will? How DARE you!!” They all flinch, Sky looking away.

“I want her here.” Legend points straight down as he bluntly says this. “I..l want her here so much.” And it said how much he meant it when his voice cracked for a moment and he kept talking.

“But I’ll be damned before I let us repeat the same mistakes.”

He looked straight at Sky, crossing his arms, making sure the former knight of Skyloft could see the not so harmless rings he always wore on his fingers.

“What I said back then on Outset still stands today.” He leans forward and makes sure everyone is looking at him.

“I won’t hesitate to kill anyone that takes her away from me.” He spoke with a voice he only reserved for enemies.

And depending on what they decided to do, that is a strong possibility.

It was a battle of wills as Sky stood his ground. One staring at the other, both waiting for the other falter. Who won would decide the other’s decision. Both deadly opponents, both with strong wills.

The warning Legend gave seemed to register within Sky at that moment through. As after a few minutes, he looked away. His expression full of devastation.

Legend draws back, his shoulders almost unnoticeably relaxing. “Don’t force my hand.” He says calmly, looking away.

“Look, we can’t make the same mistakes again.” He looked at Time. “If we do, there will be no more chances.”

He took in a deep breath. “The reason we can have a second opportunity at all, is because we got lucky.”

Not even Time could hide back the flinch that escaped him at the veteran’s truth.

“It was a fluke. A goddamn fluke. A chance so rare and impossible that, it happening a third time? Is so laughable that even Ganon wouldn’t even consider it worth even a second of a thought.”

A grimace appear on everyone’s faces at that thought. Including Legend’s.

He sighs loudly bring the attention back to the topic at hand, “If we fucked this up, it’s over. No more second chances. Not a single thing would be able to replicate the events that gave of this opportunity.”

He looked at Sky directly. “And you want to risk our last chance to do right by her?”

Like he had be struck, Sky practically fell into his seat, staring down at his weakly trembling hands, his face so very pale, so horrified, at the thought of never having the chance to see her again.

“I…I didn’t…"he looked raised his head and looked at the right before him. All looking as pale as he knew he was.

"I just…I didn’t mean to…I just want her here…I would never suggest…” he couldn’t say anything, unable to form proper words.

“I know.” Legend said quietly, his expression almost gentle.

He inhaled quietly and turned to Time, who was eyeing him with a bit of weariness from his previous words.

“I know we want to rush things but we need to be patient. We need to put ourselves in her good graces, those who have classes with her can get to know her, find an opening to start an interaction. Once she’s more comfortable, we can start introducing everyone else.” He frowns, looking at Time, eyebrow raised.

“… Acknowledged.” Time simply says, understanding in his eye.

He then cocks his head, “Though I will say, despite my agreement with your suggestion, we still need to gather information.” Sky and those who agreed with him perked up at their leader’s unexpected decision. Time held a hand up when the veteran opened his mouth to argue,

“The more we eventually grow close to her, the greater the chance our enemies could come for her. We need to know this information for such a possibility. We won’t do anything with it,” he says this with a stern look to Sky and his accomplices, who looked away from his gaze. “But I would rather be safe.”

Legend looks at him with a pinched expression, before sighing and turning to show his back to the others, signaling he was done talking. He no longer cared for that topic. Time agreed with what he said suggested, the others would follow his decision, even Sky, despite wanting the contrary.

He’ll just have to make sure they don’t try to find loopholes. They will never break a promise, not to each other, and especially not to (y/n).

Toeing the line between keeping said promise or breaking it on the other hand…

Well, that’s a risk all of them would take.

“Wild, I want our most trusted to start gathering information.” Wild straightens up and nods, looking back at his phone and tapping away.

Time looks over at Wind.

“Can you see if you can scout out around her neighborhood?”

“You say that like I won’t make sure I do.” Wind smirks cheekily, his eyes brighter yet darken then ever before.

Time smirks in good humor. “Warriors and Twilight -”

“We just ordered one of the scouts to look through the school files and another to examine the teachers.” Twilight said, holding his phone up, shrugging when he got a look in response.

“…Anyone that goes to that school, please keep an eye out.” Time looks at Sky, thoughtfulness in his eyes for a moment.

“Didn’t you and Hyrule mention at one point that you both wished to attend classes for a bit?” He brings up. “Seems like the best time.”

Sky and Hyrule looked at each other, a silent conversation being held, excitement and anticipation slowly growing in their eyes as the 'conversation’ continued.

“Never too late.” Sky says shakily, still upset by the rejection of his idea and Legend’s words but eager to gain any opportunity to be close to (y/n).

“You know you might not get a single class with her right?” Wild mutters to them, tapping away at his phone.

“I-I’m aware.” Sky throws back, voice cracking at the possibility of another wall in his path.

Hyrule is twiddling his fingers, “I mean…I have been considering…” Hyrule’s mind already thinking up gifts to make for his darling.

“I guess I’ll join the sailor with his search.” Four says with a exaggerated sigh, smacking Wind on the back.

“Don’t trust me on my own?” Wind jokingly asks in offense.

“Never.” Four smirks back.

After some talking amongst themselves, the seven leave, setting off to begin their tasks.

Legend and Time left in the large room.

“I don’t believe they were prepared for that bit of information.”

“Neither were you…” the veteran starts off slowly.

“?”

He sighs, “The waiting game is both over and just beginning.” He points towards the doorway.

“Whether or not they’ll behave is not something I can predict. We need to stay on our toes.” Time grimaced in response.

Time looked down, taking in (y/n)’s image in the photo, could almost hear her beautiful laughter, almost feel her hugs.

Soon. Soon she’ll be with them again. Nothing will ruin it. Not him, and not the others.

He wouldn’t allow it.

“All we can do is prepare.” Tapping his finger on the table.

“Yet despite everything,” The corner of his mouth curls up. A faint smirk visible only to Legend.

“She is worth the wait, and most importantly, worth waiting for.” He looks at Legend.

“I won’t allow our mistakes to be repeated.” He clenched his fist tightly.

“Iwon’t allow it.”

Because there wouldn’t be another chance. This was their only chance to make amends, even if she hadn’t know them in this life.

“Ican’t allow it.” Legend nodded, a faraway look in his eyes.

“Yeah…” His voice was soft, his expression calm.

Neither can I.”

…Glad to know they were on the same page.

-Some Time Passes…-

—-

….

Fi burned him some days.

The same way she would burn any of her masters, or anyone in general, if they used her to attack one of her wielders.

In a way, he appreciated it, almost welcomed it, despite his discomfort. It kept his mind from crossing to dark territories.

The way the pain would slowly, but inevitably, pierce through the haze of his thoughts.

He loathed how it was a necessity though. Loathed how Fi gazed upon him and decided he needed to be handled carefully.

Then again, didn’t he deserve it? Didn’t they all? Didn’t he deserve to be treated like a prisoner being watched by their warden?

It’s not like he blamed her, in fact he understood why she monitored him as she did.

Fi cared for (y/n) as well. Adored her enough to refer to her as 'mistress’. Fi watched over her when he left her in her care. Protected her to the best of her abilities, whether placing an aura of light around her to shield her from monsters, or guiding her back to them when she got lost.

Perhaps this was her way of expressing her displeasure over his actions.

Over the actions of all her masters.

So he wasn’t upset by her choice. He understood all too well.

Fi was still so caring despite her anger. Had the roles had been reversed, he would have been worst, so much worst. He is fortunate that it wasn’t the case.

So he allowed her to ’boss him around’. Because he knew she only would if she suspected him of letting his thoughts cloud his senses.

He understood that the others worried about him as well. Worried that he would ruin whatever chances they could have in earning her trust again.

He understood. So very well.

But it didn’t stop how much he missed her.

She was so close now. So very close.

All he had to do was reach out and he would finally have her in his arms. She may not remember now, but maybe it’s similar to Wild’s memories, maybe she just needed to be reminded.

She was so very close. Legend saw her. Time saw her. All he had was a picture.

Why couldn’t he see her? Was he being punished? Maybe they assumed he had been busy during those times? Maybe-

Oh, Fi started glowing, he takes a few deep breaths.

He had to think calmly. They wouldn’t prevent him from seeing her. They understood how he felt. They all understood how each of them felt about her.

So it was simply bad luck that he didn’t get to see her.

He had to think of the positives.

Simply because Time and Legend spoke to her, doesn’t mean they got to hold her. They didn’t have the chance to earn her affection, they simply were the first ones to interact with her.

If he was lucky, he would be the first one to…to hugher.

Just the idea sent his heart racing.

The first one to have her call him by their unified name.

He just has to be patient. They had all the time in the world. And this world doesn’t have Ganon. No magic curse to fight against.

He can handle fighting vermin, people. They are just a more easily hidden type of monster.

Fi’s glowing brighter.

He and the others would keep her safe, they’ll protect her from this world’s cruelty.

Maybe this time they won’t be forcefully separated. Maybe this time no goddess or red eyed shadow will cause her disappearance.

They’ll be happy, together. Perhaps he and the others will finally be introduced to her family! (The ones who helped created this beautiful soul. To think he would possibly meet them, meet the ones who influenced and molded the girl he and his sword brothers loved so very very much )

’….’

It’s not like they were on a time limit. This time they really could go slow. Not rush anything. This time, they can do things right.

M….’

They won’t fail this time. They won’t make her hate them. They won’t hurt her beautiful heart. She’ll be so very happy.

M…s…

She’ll want for nothing. They’ll provide the world for her.

Master

Fi?

Sky blinked, eyes finally focusing on the present, mind now registering the burning pain on his back.

Sky shivered, removing the sword off his back and holding it in front of him. A small grimace at the sharp pain he felt as he gripped the blade’s hilt.

Oh, she wasn’t happy.

“I..I’m sorry. I know, I got lost in my thoughts again.” He mutters quietly to her. Her light pulsing rapidly, the pain he felt in his hand increasing and decreasing with each pulse. he could feel the lecture she was throwing at him.

“It’s..it’s just that we found her,” He says, he didn’t know if he was excusing his own actions or simply needing to tell her. “We found her and now she’s so close and I haven’t gotten to see her other than a photoand…”

He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled.

“…and…I miss her so much.” Was all he could say, whatever words that had wanted to rush out fading into nothing. Fi wouldn’t fall for anything he said anyway.

The light dimmed slightly, a single pulse, less painful now, a request for assurance.

“I…can’t promise not to do something I’ll regret.” He was honest about that. He loved (y/n) too much, he genuinely didn’t know what he would do when everything was presented to him.

“I can only try.” He looked down at the sword.

“Just…guide me when it looks like I’m planning to fall without a sailcloth?”

There was no response at first, but the light of the sword slowly began fading. Dissatisfaction, but contentment.

Fi would accept his words for now. Good.

Sky heard a slam and a noise, and looked over his shoulder to see Warriors staring at him.

What the hell?” The captain started, slowly, making his way into the room.

“…I’m just working.” Sky said quietly, sword pointed to the ground, clutching the hilt of the sword with both hands. As if he was trying to hide behind the sword.

Warriors knelt down and reached out.

“I said, ’to do what it takes to extract information from the bastard’,” he pulled his hand back and grimaced at bloodied, twitching and whimpering man. “Not practically killhim.”

Sky looked at the man he had been interrogating and really took in his condition.

Took in the blood splattered around the room, finally noticing the blood splattered on him.

Oh, he had gone overboard.

Warriors stood up and ran his clean hand through his hair.

“We’ll send him to Rulie to be healed.” He looked back at Sky, stern frown clear on his face. “I don’t want to see this level of carelessness again.”

Sky grimaced and looked away from him. “I can’t completely promise you that.” He’s been saying that a lot lately, hasn’t he.

“But you can promise to keep it to a minimum can’t you?” He throws back, crossing his arms.

Sky looked down for a moment, and nodded.

Warriors watched him carefully for a moment.

“Don’t let your excitement for her arrival rush things.” Sky looked back up and saw Warriors looking at him with a understanding look.

“Just be patient, every day is one step closer to happier times.” Sky didn’t reply back, merely sighing and replacing the master sword on his back.

Warriors turned back to the now unconscious bloodied man and tsk’d, eyeing the red pool growing at their 'guest’s feet.

“Well…you didn’t kill him so a warning is all I’ll give you. But be more careful, I’ll have to inform the old man if this happens again.”

Sky nodded, “Of course.”

“Now go clean up, I came to tell you Wild’s starting to make dinner.” A rule that had been implemented when they all reunited. Wild would make the main meals of the day and they made sure to share those meals together.

Time enforced this rule strongly, saying how they have been separated in this strange world long enough. And honestly, despite no regrets, Wild’s cooking brought home to them. So they made it a point to always try to be around for meals.

Sky hesitated, but Warriors nudged him to the door, reassuring him that he would ’clean up his mess.’

Sky sighed as the door closed behind him and he made the trek back to his quarters. Head in hand.

Everything was going to change now. Whether slowly or rapidly… he sighed.

That was up to their choices.

He really hoped they didn’t destroy this joy again.

Okay rebloging again cause now I have time and really savored it. I got more to say.

I love that Legend is first. (I"m assuming this came first before Time.) It feels so right. He is the one that should be first cause he is most aware that the cycle of hurting her has to stop.

Legend has always felt the most self aware…very dishonest about it but very aware. He knows that the biggest thing she needs protection from is himself and his yandere tendencies and it shows. This is a big internal fight that he came out victorious on and it makes me so happy.

And dispite it steming from being an ass, waiting to tell the others *cough cough twilight wild and four*cough cough* was a smart move so they didnt show up to campus like the boys we love and fear them to be.

Why do I feel like that picture is now all of thier phone backgrounds ? And/or been enlarged, printed, and framed? Dorks. Luckily dorks are totally my type.

This was a lovely surprise! I do so adore walls of words!

Yes Legend was the first one to find her. Time’s moment comes later.

Legend naturally fell into this role. I barely thought who it would be before he took the stage.

I’ll write the meeting eventually!

“You should be HERE. Working.”

“Look, I didn’t leave cause I wanted to, unlike you, I have classes to attend on occasion.”

“What?”

“Classes. School. The thing the old man insisted we do in order to keep the feds off us? Remember?”

“Ah, fuck.” Legend snorted at that, understanding that feeling.

“I honestly can’t wait for you idiots to graduate.” Warriors grumbled.

“Mm, me too.” Legend grabbed his keys and turned off his bike.

“How long until you’re back?” He nods to a few acquaintances from his previous classes.

“Just have to sit through one class, not like I have much to do here:” He would have tested out of all classes sooner, but that always led to some type of unwanted attention.

“Thank the gods.” Warriors was heard muttering, the sound of paper being shuffled around made its way into Legend’s ear.

He sighed as he entered the classroom, already feeling that horrid sense of boredom all students have that came with the idea of sitting for an hour listening to a teacher to drone on and on.

“I’m in class, got to go. Talk later.” Warriors grunted and the call ended.

He snorted softly and scanned the room as he picked up the orientation packet that was on the teacher’s desk for the students, noting the small amount of people there despite being close to the starting hour.

Eyeing the seats, he took his place in the far back, set on just passing the class chatting with the others. He knew the teacher and already expected they likely wouldn’t be in the mood of doing much today anyway.

He sat down, leaning forward on the desk, resting his jaw on his palm.

Ugh. He was already annoyed by this.

He boredly watched his classmates slowly trickling in, already pushing them out of his mind after taking note of their faces.

Finally, the teacher walked into the room, five minutes before class was scheduled to start, announcing ahead of time that they would be watching a video today.

Dull, he should have asked for his schedule ahead of time to avoid this.

(He had only turned away for a moment)

It seemed that everyone that would be arriving had settled into their seats. Yet as the teacher opened their mouth to speak, the door burst open, just as the bell rang to start class.

(The first voice didn’t mean anything to him. Not bothering to open his eyes to categorize his new classmate.)

“We’re sorry for being late!”

The teacher looked at the at the clock in response. “Well you came on time so I’ll let it slide since it’s the first day.”

He hears a sigh of relief.

(The second voice…it froze him, locking his body in place.)

“Saved by the bell, literally in this case.”

“I don’t you we would make it!”

“Yes yes, go find a seat girls.” A brief period between one moment and the next but it was all it took.

He forced himself to look up.

Heneeded to look up.

(Don'tBeALieDon'tBeALieDon'tBeALiePleaseDon'tBeALie-)

He was unprepared for the way he heart started racing. How the world around him slowly faded out, only leaving her in his vision.

She was beautiful.

He couldn’t stop gazing at her smile, couldn’t stop silently begging her to look at him as she walked down each row, so he could have the honor of her smile directed at him.

And her laughter.

When had it been since he last heard such carefree laughter?

(When had it slowly become strained, yet still so genuine? When was it when they had foolishly taken it away?)

It scared him greatly to think that she could vanish from his sight again.

He couldn’t stop looking at her, his already racing heart nearly aching with intensity as she walked through the class and sat in the seat in front of him.

The room immediately darkened as the teacher turned off the lights. The projector being the only source of light in the room.

He could feel the air shift as she moved, the way her scent drift to his nose.

He could only swallow back the choked sob that wanted to escape his lips.

He could never forget her scent. Yet it was as if he was experiencing it all over again.

Where had she been? Where had she BEEN?

They searched for so LONG. Searched for so long, so desperately. but it didn’t matter. Because she was here. He would be in this room with her for a whole hour.

That thought froze him, a touch of ice stabbing through his joy.

Only an hour, one hour so close to her presence. But not close enough.

There was so much they needed to prepare for now that she was found, they had to ready the house for her arrival. Perhaps if he asked the captain-

…?..?

(It was with that thought that he realized, in the dim light in the darken room, his hand was stretched out, reaching right for her.)

…He couldn’t do it.

(His hand wavered in it’s place in the air.)

He couldn’t subject her to that treatment, to the same cruelty that they subjected her with time and time again.

(He began to lower his hand.)

He wanted to experience the warmth of his hand held in hers. To have her smiles directed at him with warmth and care.

To have her close to his side, to never know another day without her kindness.

…But not like this…

He couldn’t…

He couldn’t hurt her like that again.

Never again.

(…He placed his trembling hand back on the his desk.)

Hiswhole body trembled as a result of the action.

He tried to calm himself down but taking a deep breath.

It helped greatly.

Her scent was as he remembered. So delicate, but so very distinct.

It was comforting.

So very comforting that he didn’t fight the gentle lull of sleep as it blanketed him, causing him to rest his head in his arms. Her scent wrapping around his senses and making him feel utterly safe.

…He missed it dearly…

Nothing could have hid the trembling shoulders as he silently sobbed in blissful relief.

He was so close to her. Could faintly hear her breathing and almost feel her warmth, it was blissfully intoxicating. To think, he had been upset that the first class of the school day had been an hour long.

But now, resting his head, taking in his beloved’s scent, hearing her breathing.

He was upset it was only an hour.

He drifts off to sleep, so relaxed. So safe.

…Hey…wake up.”

When he awoke, he was groggy. (When was the last time he slept so deeply?) He groaned softly and slowly began to move, his back popping as he straightened up. He took in his surroundings. Noticing it was still dark, but light pouring from the doorway allowed him to remember where he was.

Oh right. Class.

He stretched, slowly allowing his memories to return, the haze of sleep making things sluggish.

He didn’t understand how (y/n) dealt with this her whole life, he could barely have the few classes he had now.

That thought was enough to allow the memories to trickle back in—coming to class, and the sudden appearance of Her. Legend sucked in a breath and he quickly began scanning the room.

The seat in front of him was empty

Where was she?

Where was she?!??

He could feel himself begin to panic

How could he have relaxed so easily?!

Now that she was no longer in his sight, a sense of urgency and panic washed through him.

He had to find her. It couldn’t have been a dream. He really saw her!! she had been there! How could he let his guard down so easily?!? He had enemies here! Could they have found her? He would have them killed.

So engrossed in his frenzied spiraling thoughts, that he didn’t notice the shadow casted over him until a hand was waving in his face.

He flinched back as he was brought out of his thoughts. A brief sense of annoyance and anger passing thought at the thought of a stranger getting so close.

“Don’t wanna be late for the next class buddy!”

He huffed and faced the individual who woke him up. Ready to close the conversation and immediately begin his search.

“Yes yes, thank you for waking me…” his voice died off, he felt his face go slack. His heart returning to that rapid pace as a face came into view, more familiar to him than his own.

“You must have been pretty tired, you slept through the whole class!” He never wanted to stop hearing her beautiful voice, how light and kind it was.

“Well…it’s been a rough time.” He rasped softly, flinching at his own voice.

“Oh?”

It was at that moment, the teacher decided to turn on the classroom lights.

“…Hey…you sure you’re okay?” He blinked at her, bring his hand up and touching his face, drawing his hand back and seeing moisture on it.

…When did he start crying?

“You okay?” She looked like she wanted to wipe away his tear herself.

Oh…his beloved darling, gentle even to a supposed stranger.

“…y-yes…” his voice cracks again as he rubs his cheeks, hoping to save himself from further embarrassment.

“Hey..” she placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, his focus immediately zoning in on the physical contact and he repressed a shiver, her touch so delicate but oh so warm. It was scorching.

“Hey, it’s alright. Everything’s alright.”

He wanted to hold her so much.

To do nothing more than cry within her arms, to let go. To apologize and repent over and over.

Because her words eased his soul more than she could possibly comprehend.

Because she was right.

She was right.

She was absolutely right.

Everything was alright now.

Because she was HERE. She was here, safe. With him. And soon, with all of them.

Their constant night terrors, their doubts, those horrid fears, they were all meaningless now.

There was no more fears of ’if’ they would find her.

Of waking up one day and realizing her warmth was a cruel cruel dream.

Because she was here. She was right. here.

It made him want to grin so badly, but he repressed it. Not wanting to make her uncomfortable.

Every year he waited for her was now worth every second.

This moment was everything he could hope for, and that’s what made it so much more agonizing when a voice grabbed their attention, breaking it.

“(y/n)! We’re gonna be late!” His darling turned to the voice and smile.

“I’ll be right there!” She looked back at him.

“Um,” she starts awkwardly, “So…I know it won’t seem much coming from a stranger, but everyone has hard days. So stay strong, okay?”

He nodded.

She smiles brightly at him. “You can do it!”

He wants to give into his urges right then and there, but he refused to, not again.

Thank you.” He says genuinely, love hidden behind his gratitude.

Her smile relaxes from it’s anxious state, but stays as beautiful as always. With a small wave, she walks over to her acquaintance.

And he felt the absence of her presence almost instantly.

He watched her quietly as she walked up to her friend, muttering something that made the both of them laugh.

It was a spur of the moment decision, but almost without a thought, he pulled out his phone and snapped a photo as she turned to the door, able to catch her full image in the shot.

His heart sank as she slipped out of the room. Already feeling the anxious fear of her being out of his sight. The urge to scream and beg for her to return so intense that he almost didn’t know what to do.

He merely took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down. Gathering his things, his thoughts drifted to the events that had taken place today.

He walked into the room expecting something dull, expecting things to be predictably boring.

And now he was walking out of the classroom with more joy and shiver inducing giddiness that he doubted anyone but the others could understand.

…The others…

He stared down at his phone blankly, gripping it tightly.

He should tell the others immediately. This wasn’t something that could be hidden. If things had been different and someone else found her first, he would want to know to.

He should tell them….

…Then again…

He tapped out a single line, sending it with a large smirk.

‘Meeting tonight.’

He slipped his phone back into his pocket and felt like whistling as he walked out of the school building, already counting the hours until they all gathered together.

He will most definitely tell them. But not just yet.

It was only a few hours, what’s the harm? Let him enjoy this wonderful occasion by himself, he most certainly won’t be able to after today,

He deserves it after all.

He was the lucky bastard that found her first.
