These Yokai are ordinary cats that have lived so long that they’ve transform into yokai. During the transition from cat to spirit, the cat’s tale splits down the center into two identical tails.
Nº 6: The Akaname
Akaname is a small, goblin-like yokai that dwells in the dirtiest homes and public baths. These stinky spirits have extremely long, sticky tongues to lap up the slime, grease, hair, and other filth found in bath houses and behind toilets.
Nº 5: The Tengu
Tengu are a type of legendary creature famous in Japanese folk religion. Often depicted holding giant fans made of leaves, these mischievous yokai are known to whip up large gusts of wind.
