I don’t know about you, but I still scream every time Than appears during an escape. I adore their relationship and I am so hyped that they get to be canon? Thank you, Supergiant Games, for this absolutely incredible game. I am so in love with it.
I just wanted to mention that Than deserves more credit than people give him. I heard many opinions that he treats Zag unfair by not supporting him, that he’s toxic, etc. Though I must say that he actually does quite a lot. He may seem quite groomy but Than cares for the Prince a lot. He risks his work, he stands up to Lord Hades to tell him that he’s wrong to treat his son like that. Then, he continues showing up despite being in pain from Zag’s betrayal (idk I would also feel hurt). So they both worked towards each other to fix their relationship and I’m glad it all worked out.
The storm did not break. For five days, its winds howled over Mount Cithaeron, with no signs of abating. Zagreus, Callisto, and Iphios remained huddled in Callisto’s den, sheltered by the warm underbelly of the earth, as the snow piled higher and higher outside. The weather prevented them from hunting or straying far from the cave, and all they had in the way of provisions was snowmelt, bark, and some pork jerky Callisto had stashed away.
I have this headcanon that if a god really wanted to, they could smell Zag’s weird mortal blood flowing under his skin. Than is fascinated by it. (and probably embarassed, too :’D )
