Merry Christmas!! I was saving Part 4 of the conversions of 13Pumpkin’s Christmas gifts for today. And it’s a good thing I gave myself that long because I redid these a bazillion times trying to do them in the most logical way. Hopefully I did just that!
This is the Triflora plant hanger, the pot and 9 plants. I added single versions of the plant hanger in all 3 lengths - those are slaved to the original mesh. (The plants were edited to have backs so they don’t disappear at some angles.)
The hanger has 3 slots to hold the pot (the singles only have the 1 slot); the pot has a slot for a plant and the plants are just the plant, no pot. The original recolors are all included; the plant hanger’s recolors are separate packages in case you don’t want any of them.
The plant hangers can be found in Deco>Wall for 150 and 75 Simoleons; the pot and plants can be found in Deco>Plants for 0 and 5 SImoleons.
To put a plant and pot in the hanger, you need to put the plant in the pot first THEN place it in the hanger.
More? Yes. This time it’s the Reindeer Chalkboard, Wooden Buck and Wooden Reindeer (there are 2 meshes for those). All are found in Deco>Misc for 0 (yep, that’s right z-e-r-o) Simoleons. :) All original recolors are included but not pictured.
The chalkboard has 2 subsets; the reindeer are repositoried. All have ground shadows and can be placed on OFB shelves. Polycounts: reindeer - 934; buck - 870 and chalkboard - 465
More! This time it’s the candles. These are functioning lights that can be found in Lighting>Table Lights for 0 (GIFTIES!!) Simoleons. Polycounts: candlesticks - 820; reindeer - 1198. The repository technique was used so each set has a master/slave. All recolors for each set are included + a bonus recolor of the candlesticks. These give off a subtle light like candles would!
Once again: all credit to 3Pumpkin for the meshes and textures, even the bonus recolor since all I did was color shift her texture. ;) GUIDs were randomly generated in SimPE.
Random fun fact: my sims kitty was sitting on the couch with her and you could just see the top of her head and ears. It was cute but she must’ve gotten off the couch at some point while I was setting up the first screenshot. :(
Being as uninspired and feeling less than creative as I am, I still wanted to do something for Christmas. So I bring to you TS4 to TS2 conversions of some of 13Pumpkin’s 2021 Christmas gifts. To be honest, I was just waiting for her to upload them all, lol. (♥ u)
To begin: here are the Christmas Blocks, the Joy sign, the Ornament Tree and the Pine Trees. Meshes have had a second subset added where it made sense, have proper groundshadows and all original recolors are included, although not shown for the trees and the Joy sign.
Polycounts are: Christmas Blocks - 586 polys; Joy - 738 polys; Ornament Tree - 1104 polys; Pine Trees - 1176 polys. All are in Deco>Misc for 0 Simoleons… because gifts are free. ;) All meshes will fit on OFB shelves at 1 per shelf.
I always have a sense of relief and excitement when I finally post a set. They are usually large sets that I spend a lot of time and effort making. Once it’s posted, I then feel a kind of sadness that I have nothing more to add to the set(s) I have spent so much time and effort making and I wonder…if and when I will find more inspiration and what will I make next. I’m sure I’m not the only creator that feels this way :)
I like a lot of the furniture on Wayfair and I’ve also gotten lots of inspiration from Better Homes and Gardens.
That said, it seems like conversions are the most popular TS2 CC now. And while I do some conversions (because people like 13Pumpkin here keep making pretty stuff!) it’s not really my thing. I like to start from scratch with meshes and textures. So I put a lot of work and effort into what I make and, I dunno, end up feeling let down or something? Since I honestly make what I want in my own game and share for the love of sharing, I’m not really complaining. I guess it’s hard to explain without sounding like a baby, lol.
My oldest daughter likes to come over and play the Sims. She has decided now that she wants to play Vampires…so I started making my families. While making mine, I realized my Sim looked familiar, then it hit me… I made Uhtred (son of Uhtred) Ragnarsson from Last Kingdom! What a handsome devil he is!
I am traveling tomorrow to meet up with my brother and sister in Florida to see our Dad. He has had a very rough year… He suffered a massive heart attack, underwent quadruple bypass surgery and before healing completely from that, they found cancer in one of his kidneys and had to have surgery to remove it. We have not all been together for 5 years and with my Dad’s health…we figured we need to get together now. It very well may be the last time we are all together! :(
You all know I am a “Free” creator and I will stay as such! I am a house wife and mother…sitting here in my house, creating CC that I like and share with others that may also find my creations useful for their game.
Creating takes time and energy…It’s not as simple as just adding a cube in blender and slapping a texture on it and calling it a day. I work on sets at my own leisure. Can take a few day…can take a month or longer but it is a hobby that I enjoy doing.
I am not saying that I disagree at all with patreon and people who use it…I’m not! Although I do not support any “Early Access” patreons, I do wait to download when they become free! There are so many creators that I love and I enjoy their CC! My concern is…and I am generally worried for peoples safety…I just don’t understand people not seeing the red flags, especially with all that has come to light! If you have to “BEG” for a link when you are already paying for it (up to $20 even more) …is that not suspicious to you? If they have to DM you with your own personal link…is that not suspicious to you? Permanent Paywalls…is that not suspicious to you? Shady people that are known thieves…is that not suspicious to you? There are terrible people using and sharing your personal information! Is this still not suspicious to you? I feel like people have become blinded by shiny pixels and think, “that will never happen to me” or “DOXXING isn’t real.” It is very real and scary…it is your life, your identity, your safety at stake!
Support your favorite Free or Early Access creators… If for any reason you question the creator…Listen to that little voice inside your head! It’s trying to tell you something!
