One of things I have been looking forward to the most this Christmas was the @vcsecretgifts ! It’s my first time participating or even seeing anything like it in a fandom and I think it’s super thoughtful and amazing ❤️

The event will be held at the Chateau De Lioncourt in Auvergne, France. Lestat has been informed that you cannot fly on your own so he has arranged a private jet to come pick you up. Louis had plates set up for you, but they forgot that actual food needs to go in them lol No worries though! Armand has a chef on call, cuz he read that that was a status symbol.

My gift recipient asked for something featuring Armand, and suggested some domestic scene with his loved ones. The bloodline relationship between Marius, Armand and Daniel is among my absolute favorite in the series. Of course I adore Marius/Armand, and now more than ever I love the escapist fantasy of Venice. Marius is so logical and wise, Armand such an emotional fool of the spirit, and Daniel, with no sense of self preservation yet a desire for eternal life, make a bloodline family of three very different men from three very different eras. I like to think of them modern day, after Daniel is recovering, after Marius and Armand are healing their relationship, just quietly enjoying one another’s touch. Christmas music on the radio maybe.
My secret santa gift for @iregreteverything19, who asked for Louis and Lestat slow dancing at a Christmas party together!
I imagine that Lestat really wanted to take Louis out for Christmas, but Louis didn’t really want to make a spectacle or be paid attention to or anything… so Lestat more or less took him by the hand and snuck into some big Christmas party where no one recognizes a certain former rock star. And everyone is already having fun and laughing, and it’s not loud like the clubs Lestat likes, it’s just a pleasant current of chatter and laughter and warm voices, and Louis recognizes that this was a gift for him after all.
With your prompt, I could only think about a scene that is not described in Queen of the Damned. A scene where Armand gifts Daniel with his own blood, which is for both of them a tacite promise. Not yet the Dark gift, but a key to Armand’s heart, and Daniel’s immortality. It’s only mentioned later when Daniel absentmindedly fidgets it to find comfort as he wanders, lost.

I think the spirit of the season infected me, so have Lestat and Louis a moment after they silently apologize to one another for destroying the parlor again.

This is my spin on an Armand and Marius bleak and snowless winter night. “You darkness” is by Rainer Maria Rilke and translated by yours truly. I don’t know- I think it fits them. I hope you like it and that you had a great december so far and an even better 2022!
