After getting new TRD Pro front valance in black. Car looks so much better. Good as new?? Also forgot to mention, I got the new AVS window visors and Toyota bug deflector installed too. The mod itch is real.

Didn’t want to wait around for insurance… the damage was bothering me so I had to quickly get to work… i figured if I at least changed the front lower valance it’d look 100x better. I also opted for the black TRD pro front valance. Too my surprised I did not find very much damage underneath the bumper cover. This pulled a tremendous weight from my shoulders as I was certain shit was fucked.

Also bonus phot of my neighbor Phung holding his black and yellow plate on my car so I could see what it would look like before I ordered my custom plate (which is currently being made and should be ready by October )

Wanted to spice up the car a bit. This is my first venture into something that isn’t considered a sports car. Thought these side steps (N-Fab Nerf Step System 3”) looked cool so I pulled the trigger on them. I would say these were the first big modification I did on the car. Was a relatively easy install and made the car look less like your mom’s SUV. The overall construction was decent. I honestly could not expect more for steps that were just under $500.

Aftermath of the accident. Luckily it was too bad… the car was still drivable and the damage looked like it was only on the front bumper. As this was my first ever brand new car it hurt more than it should have. It was a real eye sore and every time I walked up to my car I couldn’t help but stare at it and die a little inside.

Not even three days of ownership and I get into my first accident in 10 years of driving. Was on my way into my gym parking lot and some dude speeds right in front of me as I was entering. I was devastated. Not even 300 miles on the odometer and I already fucked shit up.

The day I got her. I just left the Fremont Subaru dealership with the intention of purchasing a 2019 Subaru STi in black. On the way home from leaving the Subaru dealership I decided to stop by the Toyota dealership to get once last glance at the 4runner. I previously looked at and test drove this 4runner and almost bought it but couldn’t close the deal. A week later I looked at Subarus and had my heart set on the 2019 STI. Once I saw this thing in person again I quickly realized this was the car I really wanted. I ended up closing a deal that same day and drove home with a brand new 2018 4runner. As much as I miss mobbing around in a turbocharged car I knew this car was the right choice. I wanted something automatic and something that I could take on a road trip ANYWHERE. Even though there are times I have slight buyer remorse, I knew I made the right decision. I am looking forward to many good memories with this beauty piece of machinery. I plan on keeping this car for quite awhile… unless they drop the TRD pro in another cool color (like inferno orange, the color I originally wanted)
