M72B1 “Khyber Pass”
A custom build AK variant that uses the Yugoslavian M72B1 RPK as the base rifle. The barrel is shortened to 16″ inches long, removing the RPK’s bipod attachment. Most Khyber Pass AKs are generally considered to have the simple side-folding triangle stock. What you’re left with is basically a heavier AK rifle due to the thicker, finned barrel along with the reinforced RPK receiver. (GRH)

Hungarian AMD-65
One of the more unique AK variants from around the Com-Bloc nations, the Hungarian AMD-65 has an instantly recognizable silhouette. This is due to its double pistol grip set up. The grips themselves are either wood or polymer but its unclear when the transition occurred or if it was just based on available materials. The actual military versions have a much shorter barrel that would make them fall under SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) requirements. Majority of the semi-automatic examples for the U.S civilian market have an extended muzzle brake to bring the barrel length to 16″. (GRH)

Romanian MD 64
Most Romanian RPK rifles on the U.S market are the commonly seen AES-10B imported by Century Arms from the Cugir factory. This particular example was from a limited batch of builds from M13 Industries. What makes it considerably better than its Century Arms counterpart is that M13 Industries hand selected the parts kits, assembled them on quality Childers RPK receivers, added the correct 3 selector markings, and installed an ALG trigger. Overall the fit and finish on the M13 Industries RPK’s puts it in a league beyond the AES-10B. (GRH)

Saiga 7.62x39
Russian made semi-automatic AK variant imported into the U.S, with many being in a sporting configuration. Over the years conversion kits and services have returned a majority of Saiga’s back into their AK pedigree, although later imports were arriving complete. Unfortunately importation of Saiga and Vepr rifles and shotguns was put to an end with new sanctions placed against Russia, increasing the value of the examples already stateside. (GRH)

Romanian AES-10B
Semi-automatic RPK variant from Romania, it features a couple of odd if not unique features. Some but not all AES-10B’s imported into the U.S have a carry handle that is attached via a welded ring onto the rear sight base. The bipod on the AES-10B is also different from Russian and Yugoslavian versions because the legs are adjustable in length. Lastly it is also one of the few (maybe only), RPK variant for the U.S market that had two different barrel profiles. The AES-10 was an earlier model that used a thing pencil-style barrel, whereas the AES-10B is a regular heavy barrel. (GRH)

Good news: I got a free storage locker through work this week, now I have something else I need to cover in stickers.
Bad news: The only place it fits in my apartment isn’t exactly convenient and it’s already almost full.
Ok the second part isn’t a bad problem to have.
Crazy fucking tacticool WASR10. Those sidemounts look sexy as fuck. I’d shove my dick right up that barrel if it could fit. Sadly, the only barrel my dick could make its way up is an old 88mm flak gun.
