There’s another concept to the AU I presented!
Calm down, calm down. Mu doesn’t die- at least, not for now…
I actually wanted to make an sketch of Mu’s soul, because… well, I’ll get there soon.
If you are lost, check the post before this one!
So, anyways. Mu would turn into the leader of the resistence against Hat, and to do that, she deal her soul to Snatcher temporaly.
The habitants of Earth knew that Mu was the only one who could take on Hat for being her most skillfull nemesis and had been on these same shoes once. Knowing that Hat was an strong adversary now, Mu handles her soul to Snatcher in case something happen to her physically or mentally, so at least her soul would still be safe. (If Snatcher intended in giving it back it’s another story).
This AU haves threealternative timelines, based in the result of the “Final Battle” of Hat and Mu:
Mu Wins/Neutral: In this one, Hat flees from the planet, and life returns back to normal in Earth. Is not too bad, nor too good.
Hat Surrenders/Good: For having been on her place before, Mu offers Hat the chance to start over and live with her on Earth. If Hat accepts, she would give up on her mad schemes and start living on Earth, where her mental heatlh would slowly recover.
Hat Wins/Bad: there’s when things get complicated. In this one, Hat perfomed better in battle, but to the point um is badly hurt, until she got uncouncious, what wasn’t Hat’s intention at all. She takes the leader to her spaceship so she can take care of her, but as she think more and more about it, she realizes that Mu was the only one who was caring about her by now, and her fragile her fragile state end up taking it too far… through an non-violent or harmfull metod, Hat manages to change Mu’s mind to be on her side, making her her general. It would also have two side endings on this one: The “good-bad ending”, where eventually, Hat would feel bad about taking control of Mu, and she ends up freeying her. The “bad-bad ending” where an accident occurs and Mu end up on Vanessa’s claws… yea… Hat doesn’t like this very much.
I’m thinking about writing an fanfic about it, but I already put the three alternatives here in case I want to post something about them :P

HERE’S AN IDEA OF AN AHIT ROLE SWAP!AU I HAD IN THE BACK OF MY MIND FOR A WHILE.
The swaps would be:
Mustache Girl/Hat Kid
Mafia Town/ Nyakusa Metro
The Conductor/ DJGrooves
Queen Vanessa/ Snatcher
I just thought until here :p
HK’s hats would be replaced by Mu’s cloaks.
So, uhm, Mu would work at Time Corp. by keeping an portion of unstable timepieces safe on Earth, where the CEO thought that would be safer since no one would think on searching on such non-advanced planet.
Hat is an passerby alien, and what happened to her would go same way, but on Nyakusa (that isn’t on a metro). An cat would come to colect taxes, she would refuse to pay, and the cat would damage the spaceship so it would fall. On it, Empress takes over her spaceship and makes HK homeless.
Mu, in the other hand, since the Mafia didn’t take over her island, keeps living on her old home.
For some reason I still have to think on, Mu loses the timepieces and haves to retrieve all of them.
The game would start on Mustache Island, where would work as an tutorial, since no one particarly wanted to stop her. Then she would go to Nyakusa Town, where she mets HK. She would teach Mu the basics of fighting and getting yarn to make cloaks.
When Hat finds out about the timepieces, she also finds out she can use them as fuel to her spaceship. Then, she decides to work with Mu to retrieve all of them, but intending to betray her and steal them so she can use the fuel to go back home.
I didn’t think much on DBS, but the Subcon thing would be that the Prince would be the one that turned into a monster and killed Vanessa. As a ghost, she would be renamed as Frostbite.
Frostbite would met the two girls on her manor, where they had entered to get some warmt. She would say that for entering her home, they would have to do some biding for her. One of the missions would be retrieve her crown, that was left on the Subcon Forest.
It would work as Vanessa’s manor. If the Prince catches you, you turn into one of his minions.
Frostbite would have the same sick sweetness Vanessa haves when she’s searches for you. Treating Mu like the child she never had, when in reality she seems both like servants. When the girls try to escape, Frost is like ‘nah, man, I won’t give away my servants’ and she fights you. When she loses, Mu congradulates her for being 'the hardest yet’. The queen os satisfied by the compliment and allow both to get away.
I still have to develop the main story more, like the part when HK betrays Mu, per exemple.
Obs: Mu would be more sweet and caring than her canon self.
Hat would be more fleeing and alert than her canon self.
Instead of a coin, Hat haves an pon holding her cape.

I had to take care not to trigger myself, plus I didn’t really want to do body horror so… IDK I see it as “spoopy”
I changed MuShifter’s skin tone and eyes last minute because the old one was freaking the peck out of me. Also no background cuz I’m not creative :p
Now everytime I look at MuShifter I remember that old-time villains with long mustaches who capture the damsel in distress and then I just start laughing

Now imagine Mustache Adult’s situation: She spend years of her life trying to fight with the memories of what she had done as a kid and to be someone better JUST to have the person that “snapped her out of it” to do the exact same thing, and THEN find out who was fueling Hat was a weird creature that chose to assume her shape out of everyone, not only that, the shape of the girl she wanted to forget, and THEN the creature, not satisfied with the chaos it already caused, attacks her and tries to make Hat “execute” her in cold blood…

Hello everybody! Time to make your Mu Monday A little bit more traumatizing(expecially for Mu)!
I’ve cheking out some Shapeshifter AUs (usually focused on Hat Kid, they are so cool (☆▽☆)) I got an small headcanon for the Tables Turned AT (alternative timeline) in wich Shapeshifter would take an smaller role. Have in mind, Shapeshifter would have the personallity of Bill Cipher :p
When Hat Adult realize her friends had turned against her and her plans of “protection everybody”, her mind become even more fragile and she start questioning herself of what she’s doing. There’s the moment when she starts seeing “Smoll Mu”, an ghostified version of Mustache Girl as a kid (ver 1), that would fan her flame and keep encouraging her on her plans.
In the final confrontation, When Hat was about to surrender, Smoll Mu would appear and try to convince her otherwise. However, the disguise would be thrown out of the window since Mustache Adult was there and saw her, making Hat realize that wasn’t an hallucination, but in fact another creature.
They would then assume this nightmare fuel of a form that is ver 2, trying one last time by attacking Mu and encouraging Hat to “Finish it”.
Shapeshifter isn’t exactly evil, nor they care about who rules the world. They just enjoy chaos and have a twisted sense of fun.
I may talk more about the fight and how much Mu will need therapy in the next post!
