I am soooo slow… Worked on this all day.
#Fibro is not happy so I have to do small sessions and rest a lot in between. It’s so annoying… Let’s hope I finish tomorrow. At least I really love it so far :)

Some more tests I did a while and forgot to post. Though I love the look of woodburning, the burner I have hurts my hands way too much. It would be impossible for me to this bigger without putting my hands out of order for a couple of days :/. Carving works great thankfully! I tried without woodburning and I think this may look better with black outlines too. This piece will be made on two wood panels separated in the middle.

I’m almost done with my tests! Just some woodcarving left. I messed up here and there but that was the point. Now, I’m confident do to them bigger! I’m going to finish prepping my wood today and I’ll finally be ready to work on the final pieces tomorrow! Yay!

This is my entry for #upcratebattle organized by @upcrate
This month battle topic is “Let’s jump into your Adelais'World”, based on an aesthetic by @neimykanani .
I really hope you like my version of this dark oneiric world, it reminds me of my old art style when I was “Gothic/darker” .
I also made a video of the process that I would like to share soon .

The materials used are only what you see in the picture, it was a fun challenge!! ☺️

Esta es mi entrada para el concurso organizado por @upcrate, que es la caja sorpresa de artículos de arte que os enseñé en el último video que subí a YouTube. Me gustaría haberlo enseñado tras subir el video del proceso pero la fecha de entrega está a la vuelta de la esquina y o quería que se me pasara . Aún así espero que os guste el siguiente vídeo donde daré mi opinión sobre los materiales y demás.

El tema del mes se llama “Let’s jump into your Adelaide’s World”, que se basa un poco en la estética de @neimykanani que fue la artista invitada del mes.

Hacer este estilo de dibujo me ha recordado mucho a mis “tiempos oscurillos” donde dibujaba a Synkope y a otros personajes darks jaja!

¡Hola!☘️✨ Este fin de semana quería desconectar un poco y hacer algo bonico con gouache acrílico para que me diera algo de alegría.
Hacía ya años que no lo usaba para ilustraciones y habiendo acabado de disfrutar del libro de @sibylline_m se me antojaba mucho probarlos de nuevo (también me ha animado @rakeru_art a pintar con ellos al ver sus nuevos dibujos! ).

Me gustan mucho estas pinturas. Las primeras que me compré fueron de @turnercolourworks y me enamoraron esos colores tan vivos, mates y opacos. Luego me emocioné y me hice con más colores y también compré algunos de la marca holbein, que son los más famosos ahora y que por supuesto son también divinos (pero más caros).

Los he usado muy pocas veces para ilustraciones simplemente por comodidad. Comparado con las acuarelas o gouache corrientes me parecen más engorrosos de usar, porque debo cuidar de que no se sequen en la paleta y lleno la mesa de un montón de tubos . Aún así son un amor de colores y merece la pena el trabajo.

El gorrito está basado en uno de bjd hecho por @geppettoworkroom y el mono cosido y bordado por @ris_ras_atelier .

¡Ah! También hablé hace muy poco con @evajusticia.r sobre lo de dibujar en A4 y aproveché la ocasión para hacerlo, que suelo dibujar más en A5.

I have been really sad these days (because you know what ) and I wanted to disconnect from everything and have a nice weekend playing with my dear paintings.
I just finished the lovely book from @sibylline_m and I got inspired to use again my acrylic gouache paintings (also watching @rakeru_art new paintings inspired me! ).
I haven’t used these paints long time ago. I love them but it’s easier and simpler for me to use watercolors or regular gouache because I have not to be worry about the painting drying on the palet .
Anyway I really love acrylic gouache, and I am very happy with this piece! I hope you like it to and, if it’s possible, it brings to you some happiness or calmness.
