I saw Advaeta on the same night as Bueno back in January and tbh…I was ready to hate on these guys so hard when I saw them setting up. I was actually only really at Shea that night to do some recon for a party we were throwing but I’m never one to LEAVE a show I’m already at without checking some stuff out. Amanda’s guitar seemed huge–like, shes-going-to-fall-off-her-wedges-stop-wearing-those-and-playing-that huge. Something about their setup just couldn’t prepare me for the coming noisefest. Long-form crash festival with just enough riff to keep you from denouncing it as the whole world going to hell. I really liked it…visited their bandcamp for a while (pretty sure now that it was work keeping me from giving them and Bueno a thorough repeating) but would definitely see again. Which is convenient cuz they play @ Shea on 4/27 with Speedy Ortiz, Aye Nako and Butter The Children.
