If you have a Tune-Yards cover as part of your set you will be followed closely. By me.

Wild International played the closing slot of a show at Shea Stadium with Spires, Life Size Maps and Dinowalrus. I ended up there after seeing an awesome performance at the Eugene Lang school in the city with some Napoleon folks and was already in the mood to get down but could never have prepared for WI’s catchy, punchy, layered guitar/percussion-synthony of precisely what I wanted to hear at the time. While I wasn’t quite drunk enough to have acted a complete fool in the front, I definitely got my dance on. They also list “Vermont” as one of their influences on Facebook so that’s an extra endearment. Their “Lake Tones” EP is avails via their bandcamp for $7. Do it.

I couldn’t find a video of the setup that I experienced, but this one is still good.

The capital city of the Czech Republic is Prague, also known as the city of a hundred spires. In reality though, it actually has estimates of almost 1000. Fortunately in the 19th century, the many historical structures were recognised and spared from demolition, and in the early 1990s, UNESCO came in in time to protect the city’s skyline from further development. Pose referenced from a Mucha drawing.

This is one of 2 takes, will pick the one with the most likes to be in the final set.

An instinctive taste teaches men to build their churches with spire steeples which point as with a silent finger to the sky and stars.

Badlands National Park May 2012, sunrise hike in the park with my very best friend in the entire world. We traveled 11,000 miles on this trip around the USA. This was our very first National Park we went to together, arriving at around 10:00 PM. The fog was soon to roll in and take over for a few days but after it cleared we could see for miles and miles.

All though this may not be the largest national park in the U.S., the breathtaking landscapes, millions of years of geological history (including some of the richest fossil beds in the world), and serene soundlessness while trekking though the giant pinnacles of sediment was just the feeling I was looking for.
