Aerodynamics was a highlight feature in pre-war ŠKODAs.This model was inspired by Zdeněk Pohl and Jaroslav Hausmann, who, driving a POPULAR SPORT, had come second in their category at the enormously difficult Monte Carlo Rally in January 1936. Their roadster covered the 3,852 km from Athens to Monaco in four days. ŠKODA made 70 POPULAR MONTE CARLO roadsters and coupés in the space of two years. Alfa Romeo Giulietta SS Spider Speciale Aerodinamica, 1961, by Pininfarina. Presented at the Turin Motor Show, a prototype for the car that would eventually become the Alfa Romeo Spider. The Typo 105/115 “Duetto” remained in production from 1966 through to 1994 in 4 series. The main difference between the first series Spider and this car were the concealed headlamps which were dropped for the production model
