I’m having dinner with my tumblr bestie tonight, and I’m so excited I could scream. It’s our first time meeting after 2 years of friendship!!!!!
When people ask why I stay on tumblr despite all the terrible policies… THIS is why. Even now, there is no stronger community. Tumblr has simply brought the best people into my life.
I get to meet my best friend tonight because of this hellscape of a website.

My mother was an atheist. She used to say that there was good news and bad news about hell. The good news is, hell is just the product of a morbid human imagination. The bad news is, whatever humans can imagine, they can usually create.

I illustrated for Disney’s MULAN book “Mulan’s Lunar New Year”, (you can see the book here!) a children’s book about little Mulan spending Lunar New Year with her family.
It’s my first book and I want to share some illustrations :D [*will also have this book at my table at CTNx 2018 this year on display at T55!]
Looking back, there are lots that I want to improve on the crafting of my drawings for this book, but overall… I’m really glad I get to illustrate and to remember the joy and excitement I had celebrating Lunar New Years and lighting fireworks with my parents as a kid.

Annabeth was nine when Silena Beauregard dyed her hair for the first time.
“I think you really suit blonde hair, you know.” She hummed as she ran her fingers through Annabeth’s scalp. The water was cold enough that it sent a shiver down her spine. Annabeth tilted her head up.
“Are you going to straighten it when you’re done?” She asked. Silena raised her eyebrow at her and pressed her lips into an amused smile. She was twelve years old– to Annabeth, she’d acquired a lifetime of wisdom over her in the three years between them.
“Do you want me to straighten it when I’m done?” Silena asked and Annabeth shrugged her shoulders.
canyon let guilt corrode everything until you’re a canyon then let him make you into his image all over again when was the last time you felt the sun on your skin? there’s nothing there: you’re just disconnection there’s no escaping the consequence of your biggest sin and you will never be forgiven.
