UH OH, BIG AU LORE, INCOMING!

So remember that big temple from the other picture? DreamXD is contained in that temple, and Dream got himself stuck in there with him. Of course, this is exactly what XD wanted. He’s the one who gave Dream his powers in the first place, after all.

You guys have been the Cryptid form I’ve given Dream in this AU, this is how he turned into that creature. I won’t say right now what role DreamXD plays in this AU yet, but he’s really important to the story.

Plus, my class really liked this one. Those wings stole the show during critiques. Wings are tricky to draw, so everyone was really impressed by those.

I hope @grimmijaggers likes this one. It has Sam and Ponk in it!

Alright, in my Cryptid AU, the whole “Ponk losing the arm” thing happened a bit differently. Ponk was traveling in the mountains and got trapped under falling rocks. His arm was completely crushed and there was no way to get it out.

Then, a mysterious creature whom was only spoken of in hushed whispers emerged from the shadows. In order to save Ponk, he was forced to sever his arm and carry to weakened human to safety.

Years later, in the small town secretly home to cryptids, Ponk tells his tale to anyone wanting to hear. One person who is always there to listen is Officer Sam, the local police chief of the town. (Who is definitely not the same centaur in the form of a human.)

Flashback time!

So prior to the events of the Cryptid AU, Dream and his friends were the local paranormal investigators in the town, long before Wilbur and his friends had arrived. Like Tommy is developing now, Dream was gaining supernatural powers. Green strings grew from his hands, and visions of the future danced in his eyes.

The day that changed everything was when Dream and his friends found the possible source of that power. There was an ancient temple, lost deep into the forest and buried under the overgrown plant life. From what the group had found, a being of overwhelming power was sealed here long ago.

As if destiny had brought him here, Dream’s strings began to form, curling towards the stone door…

Everyone in this picture is officially braver than me.

This is definitely at the end of Season 1 of my Cryptid AU. The main cast is all together and just having a good time. They all go through a lot in this AU. They deserve this, as a treat.

At this point in the story, all their arcs come full circle. Wilbur and Ghostbur have become friends, Ranboo is becoming more white in the sun, and Tommy and Dream finally figured their shit out.

The epic battle!

I’m surprised I haven’t drawn their boss fight yet, it’s the climax of their story! My classmates enjoyed how crazy the magic is in this one. They really liked the movement of those beams. The lighting and shading impressed them too, they really like it when I do that.

Alright, time to hide in the recycling can with the rest of the trash.

Back to the Cryptid AU, this is how JSchlatt met Quackity. So, Schlatt’s whole thing in this AU is he’s gathering rogue crypids and monsters to live in his town, where they don’t have to worry about humans.

Quackity was one such rogue cryptid, as he can turn from a duck into a human. He had been hoping from casino to casino, winning with his supernatural luck.

In order to get him to join the town, Schlatt made a bet with him over a poker game. If Schlatt won, he would win Quackity’s soul and the lucky duck would have to join him. If Quackity won, HE would win HIS soul, and could go wherever he wanted.

Quackity may have been lucky before, but you should never bet against a demon…

THIS one was fun!

This piece was a big hit for my group. Everyone loved how many characters and sweets I was able to put in this one! It also made everyone hungry just looking at it. I’m really happy with this one.

Going from left to right we have: Stella Stardust, Muzui and Concierto, Yinshi, Octavious, Kage, Dr. Spiral, Oro, Romero, Me, Joshua Starborn, Ruby Red, the Wolf, and Cecil! I had a lot fo fun picking foods to go with each of them!

Everything is fine… don’t pay any attention to the box…

This semester is almost done, so now I’ve taken pictures of all my drawings from class. You guys finally get to see them all!

Here’s Octavious again, and now his puppet master has made him a friend! His name is Rodrigo, and he definitely wasn’t brought to life via human sacrifice.

My class really liked this one. It took my group a moment to spot the darker elements, which seems to be a trend in my artwork.

There is no easy way to explain this.

So after the whole “getting snatched by Technoblade” fiasco, Tommy knew he HAD to show Wilbur what he found. As soon as the got back to the farm, Ghostbur was the first to greet Tommy. It took him a hot minute to even notice Wilbur.

Both are, understandably, SHOCKED by what they see. Both had been living their lives, never knowing the other even existed. I imagine it’d be like meeting a twin you never met.

And poor Tommy has a LOT of explaining to do. Hey look, Ghostbur brought friend!

If the real Dream SMP won’t give me a happy Ghostbur, I will make him happy myself!

THIS is why Techno snatched Tommy in the previous picture. See, the accident that nearly killed Wilbur actually split his soul in half. That other half, Ghostbur, has been living with Techno and Phil for the past 13 and a half years.

So once Techno realized Tommy was Ghostbur’s “long lost brother”, he jumped into action and reunited them. Tommy is understandably confused, he had no clue there was a second Wilbur, but he’s happy to see him anyway.

And no, Techno didn’t tell Phil he was going to kidnap Tommy.

Everyone in my class really liked how I drew Techno in this picture!

So Tommy is getting snatched by the pig. Technoblade isn’t actually part of the town, he lives on the outskirts of it. When Tommy, Wilbur, Tubbo and Ranboo started investigating the Pig Man, it didn’t take long for Techno to hear about it.

The five of them got into a fight with the wild boar on their first encounter, ending with the team losing track of Technoblade. Now he’s gone and captured Tommy for his own purposes.

I’ll explain that purpose in the next picture.

There he is… the green Boi!

No matter what universe he’s in, Dream is always a big deal. In this town, he’s essentially the local boogeyman. Tommy is the first to discover him, (that’s the moment drawn here) and it falls on him to figure out this mystery.

During his own personal investigation, he learns that Dream used to be a human, the leader of his own paranormal investigators just like them. According to his old friends, he began to develop strange powers. He could create magic green strings and see glimpses into the future.

As Tommy continues to search for Dream… he starts gaining similar powers. He can summon short red strings and see into the past.

Ah yes, because only good things can happen in a dark office.

So in this AU, JSchlatt is the mayor of this mysterious town. It doesn’t take him long to learn about the new paranormal investigators in his town, so he has a meeting with Wilbur about their antics.

Especially since the three of them were messing around on HIS bridge.

Right away, it’s clear Schlatt knows more than expected. He already knows all about the mysterious happenings of his town, he claims to know everyone’s secrets, and with just a look at Wilbur’s decaying face, he can tell him exactly what his condition is:

He’s undead.

And so they brought him home. And all his human things.

So this is the main team for the Cryptid AU. Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo! Fundy is helping too, he’s here for moral support. Look, Ranboo now has the Beloved locket!

He’s got gadgets and gizmos a plenty! He’s got whozits and whatzits galore!

Ranboo (the Shadowman) is the first cryptid the trio goes after. Tubbo ends up getting snatched up by the shade and taken to his secret human collection! Basically crypid Ranboo has been collecting whatever human objects he could find and keeping them in his cave.

“Goatman! I’m dancing on your bridge, it’s MY bridge now!”

The first investigation! The trio is at Goatman’s Bridge! Yes, this was inspired by Buzzfeed Unsolved. A lot of this AU is actually. The way the team works is that Wilbur does the research, Tommy is the instigator, and Tubbo records whatever they find!

Oh boy, I’m drawing angst again, watch out!

So you may have noticed that Cryptid AU Wilbur has bandages. This is why. Lore time!

13 and a half years prior to the events of the story, Wilbur was caught in an explosion that nearly killed him. Doctors say he was in and out of life several times on the operating table.

Ever since, he has developed a strange disease. No one knows what it is or how to treat it, but it makes Wilbur look like he’s slowly rotting away.

No normal doctor or science could find the answers Wilbur needed, so he turned to studying the supernatural. His friend Tommy found out about a town full of unsolved mysteries, and Wilbur knew that was where they had to go.

For some reason, just being in this strange new town… was stopping the spread of his disease. Whatever was happening to him, the answers were here.

And now to post the Cryptid AU!

So in this Dream SMP AU, the boys are paranormal investigators. Wilbur, Tommy and Tubbo have moved to a new town full of monsters and the unexplained. Together, the three of them unravel the mysteries and discover the secrets of the world. (Also, Fundy is there. He is the team mascot.)

A change of tone never hurt anybody.

Here’s a concept I’ve had on the back burner for a while. One of my large drawings is related to this one. This here is Juliana, and she’s mourning the death of her lover, Albion. He died under mysterious circumstances, which left Juliana heartbroken.

To make things worse, her father keeps pushing new suitors in her face, desperately trying to force her to marry someone else. Her father never approved of her love with Albion, so this makes her suspicious of him and the suitors presented to her.

As the days go by, the suitors begin dropping dead in freak accidents. This spurs Juliana to begin investigating the strange circumstances surrounding her lover’s death. It’s as if his spirit is just over her shoulder, ensuring no one else takes her from him…

Ah yes, the beach episode, a must have for any cool anime.

It’s been getting warmer and warmer in my neck of the woods. I can feel summer time approaching! I already have a tan just from painting outside! That means it’s almost swimming season, so I figured a beach scene would be appropriate.

I wanted everyone doing something different. Abby is swimming, Minidroid is making a sandcastle, Stella is getting some sun, and Joe is buried in the sand. Don’t worry, he’s got a gun, he’ll be fine.

Someday I will play DnD. Someday.

I have this character idea for DnD called Amaryllis Larkspur. She’s a necromancer bard who can raise the dead with music! I’ve never actually played DnD, but I’ve read a lot of stories from people who do play and it sounds really cool.

This one was a lot of fun to make. I finally figured out how to draw a bunch of grass, and I got to write some funny tombstones! Always happy to make character designs. Amaryllis looks so pretty playing her song!
