Marsh Violet on my wool room floor.
It’s about 42 by 37 inches, I don’t know how much bigger it will be as I’m running out of petal colours. It will get bigger when I wash it, but I’m not sure it will be big enough.
Incidentally you might notice I’ve ignored my own rule and haven’t sewn in the ends of the corners - bad me!! I was too excited to see what it was going to look like on the floor

I’ve realised that the reason I’ve been avoiding working on Marsh Violet is that I don’t like the copper petals. I love the colour, but they are wrong.
So I’m going to spend the afternoon watching Captain Kirk & the starship Enterprise, frogging & replacing them with darker violet flowers.

This is my short sleeved fat jumper.
I wore it to my 30th wedding anniversary party & looked like a giant balloon woman, but due to developing some major food intolerances I’ve lost quite a bit of weight.
So I’m going to add sleeves to my snug fat jumper and hopefully turn it into a draping thin jumper. So have frogged the sleeves, found some matching yarn, now all I have to do is try and remember the hook size….

It’s now called Marsh Violet, because the violets on the moor aren’t just violets, they’re Marsh violets
I don’t know how big it’s going to be, I’m going to crochet until I run out of yarn. It’s currently a 35" hexagon, I’ve got enough motif centres to make another round and then I’ll turn it into a square/rectangle.
And then I’ll have the normal photo dilemma, it needs to be photographed on grass on the moor, but it’s December…..

So very very annoyed with myself Managed to stupidly completely delete near all of Sagittarius A’s photo shoot from yesterday! Not only did I manage to delete the photo’s, but I also stupidly accidentally emptied the recycle bin too!!!!

Perseid Scarf
The perseids are a meteor shower that move over the moor every August. On a clear night they are easy to see as the sky seems to be full of shooting stars
This is the entire length of the scarf, I think the Perseids are beginning to becoming clearer.

My life is sooo difficult
To get the right colours for my blankets I need to buy lots & lots of yarn. I can’t afford luxury hand dyed, so have to use the cheaper option, which in this case is Cascade 220 fingering.
This is today’s haul, only 1 is the right colour for Perseid scarf, BUT I have plans in the pipeline for all the rejects - I love my job

The problem I have with shows is that I don’t really do any crochet. I’ve probably managed about 20 sets in the last 4 days. So yesterday it was lovely to get some crochet done.
