And Lynmouth looking south to the point where the two Lyn rivers meet under the road. In a few months time this scene will be bright and sunny, with lots of happy smiley tourists (fingers crossed we get some sun) #beforethetouristsarrive #lynmouth #exmoor (at Lynmouth)
Day 3 Operation sea slug Taken from the foot bridge across the two Lyn river’s looking northwards to the harbour wall and out to sea. #exmoor #lynmouth #beforethetouristsarrive (at Lynton And Lynmouth)
Day 2 of Operation Sea Slug Since I’ve closed NDS my dyers muscles have disappeared, and as I spend my whole life crocheting I don’t get much exercise, maybe a weekend stroll with Phil & the dogs. Even though I eat reasonably small amounts of relatively healthy food I’m turning into a giant sea slug. So it’s time to do some exercise before it’s too late! So I’ve decided to walk with Phil on the evening dog walk every night, rather than occasionally. Phil has very long legs, I’ve got very short ones, so trying to walk at his normal pace is like jogging for me and I don’t enjoy the walk/jog. I’m going to take a photo every night, just to prove I’ve walked/jogged every day and maybe by the summer I won’t have to wail “wait for me” every so often as he strides away into the distance Yesterday we had a lovely sunny walk along the Lyn Way, but I forgot my phone, today’s photo is of the murky, cold Valley of Rocks, I would say at sunset, but this evening there hasn’t been a sun to make a sunset with. #exmoor #lynton #valleyofrocks #operationseaslug #beforethetouristsarrive #gsd #germanshepherd (at Valley of the Rocks)
Just popped in to Charlie Friday’s (North Devon’s Cafe of the Year) to have a chat with @kittyjayd & Rowan about doing a garment photo shoot when the weather warms up. Am so lucky to have the perfect coffee shop, full of beautiful part time models just round the corner @charliefridays #charliefridays #coffeeshop #lynton #exmoor (at Lynton)

Got a cold, feel very watery & dopey, so dopey I forgot to make the coffee for breakfast So am going to chill & crochet today, although we might have a wander about the moor this afternoon so I can photograph Sagittarius A. #amandaperkins #exmoor #perseids #crochet #crochetscarf #crocheting #crochetaddict
Lynmouth at twilight, spring is just around the corner, hibernation is nearly over for another year This one is for @lizhughes123 who very sweetly asked me to post more Exmoor photos. #exmoor #lynmouth #therisingsunlynmouth #amandaperkins (at Lynmouth Harbour)
Perseid Scarf The perseids are a meteor shower that move over the moor every August. On a clear night they are easy to see as the sky seems to be full of shooting stars This is the entire length of the scarf, I think the Perseids are beginning to becoming clearer. #crochet #amandaperkins #exmoor #perseids #crochetscarf #crochetaddict
My life is sooo difficult To get the right colours for my blankets I need to buy lots & lots of yarn. I can’t afford luxury hand dyed, so have to use the cheaper option, which in this case is Cascade 220 fingering. This is today’s haul, only 1 is the right colour for Perseid scarf, BUT I have plans in the pipeline for all the rejects - I love my job #exmoor #yarn #yarnporn #amandaperkins #crochet #crochetdesign
This week’s pattern of the week is my Harlequin blanket. To buy the pattern for the special price of £2, go to my Ravely shop, add Harlequin to your basket and add the code in the photo to the discount code box. You can find Harlequin here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/harlequin-afghan-blanket P.S I this photo as it makes my monkey look beautiful, sitting patiently next to the blanket, proudly showing off her whippet genes #crochetaddict #amandaperkins #crochet #crocheting #crocheted #crochetblanket #exmoor #bedlingtonwhippet #lurcher
Commission for the lovely twelfthofnovember! Her beautiful Exmoor pony is called Mull, which is also the name of an island island in the Inner Hebrides. I’m always a slut for Scotland and its majestic landscape, so here he is trotting through a scene inspired by the Isle of Mull itself. Technically he’s in front of a ‘View to the island Eorsa across Loch Na Keal to the mountains of Mull’, according to the ref source. Plus blue square. Because stylistically, he needed a blue square.
Ohh man this was just so much fun to draw and I’m thrilled I had the opportunity to draw him! All that grass nearly killed my hand though but I’m fairly sure it was worth it. I included a couple of detail shots below but as always, a better quality image is available on deviantART.
Thank you for looking! If you like it, please consider helping me out and giving it a reblog! Up to date commission info is available here. My main blog is here. BG ref: x
