Okay, so today will be an ask-answering day.

Let me start off by saying: No, I’m not back.
I still have no plans to return until they change their community guidelines.
I’ll also take a moment to reiterate: No new content will be posted on my Tumblr. If you want to read new content, you’ll have to read my work on AO3.
I would like to say thank you to everyone who’s sent me messages since I left. I’m doing well.
In light of Endgame premiering today, I’m going to go back and fix as many of the broken links on my blog as I can. I know WW Ch 15 has been yeeted into the great dark void along with the entire Stucky x Reader Masterlist (rip my afternoon). If anything else is broken, please let me know some time before midnight EST today (Thursday, April 25th) or it probably won’t be fixed for a very long time.

To answer some asks I’ve gotten:
- Yes, I’ll be updating WoA on AO3 soon. The plan was for the story to go on hiatus until I saw Endgame and here we are, 4 hours before I’m set to see it.
- It is very lovely to see you all again! Thank you all for your continued support even in my absence. It is very much appreciated. I miss all of you, too.
- Guys wearing lingerie is great. 10/10.
- No, I’m not suicidal. I just fucking hate Tumblr’s Community Guideline changes that they made back in Dec. 2018, so I left the site.
- Yes, my author notes are fucking hilarious, thank you for recognizing my obvious genius. >:)
- I probably won’t post Incubus Bucky 3 for a while. I just… hate it so much and now I have the rest of WoA to focus on. Not to mention other unfinished series that I enjoy more.
- When I write in the 40′s, I literally look up slang and use it whenever I can. I honestly just search “40′s slang” and try to use it as intelligently as possible. Thankfully almost anyone who reads your work won’t have been alive at that time, so your usage doesn’t have to be spot on. If it’s a female presenting character, you’d probably do well to brush up on women’s rights at the time if you want to go that extra mile for historical accuracy.

While rummaging through my art files, I found this drawing of Asra and Nell during the beach scene I never shared and it reminds me some aks about Nell Masquerade outfit… !
I can’t find the old sketch I did about Nell Masquerade’s mask but at least I can show you the dress ! It’s inspired by the butterfly “Lysandra Coridon” (in french, “L'argus bleu nacré”).

6.What is your darkest fear about writing? That since I don’t write much anymore I’ll stop writing altogether soon. I have so many prompts and ideas, I just don’t have much energy lately.
7.What is your deepest joy about writing? That I’m putting something out in the world that’s a part of me, and that it may resonate with someone else.
8.If you had to write an entire story without either action or dialogue, which would you choose and how would it go? I think I already answered this? But anyway, I’ve written all dialogue fics before so I’d probably go that route. There would be a lot of questions and answers in it, and it would be relatively short.

Thanks!! Yes, using my art as an icon is perfectly okay! If you can credit somewhere, it’s appreciated but not obligatory. The only thing I’m asking is that no one try to make it seems like it’s their art but that’s kinda a different problem on its own.
Uhmmmm… I love looking at art that has a cute and soft style, use of colors is my fav thing to be inspired from! I also love cute stationary : stickers, washi tape, postcards, pencils… And collecting pokémon merch.
I think the part I enjoy the most in art is not only imagining a drawing as a flat 2D art but also to conceptualise it as a real life item from the start. How should I draw it if I want it to look the best as a pin or as a keychain, etc? Which material should I choose to suit it the best? It’s fun.
AAAaa… (First, thanks!) Yeah sorry, I’ve been away for some months, about half a year, but that wasn’t only on tumblr, I wasn’t really active on any of my social media accounts. It’s mostly because I wasn’t happy with my life at the moment and took the time to change a lot of things. I had to let go of long-term efforts in trying to build something for myself (both about my couple and my living place) but also started a lot of new things in 2021 and 2022 (got into a new relationship and moved in with them).
Truth is I still find Tumblr to be the most… clean and gallery-like social website around? I mostly use it for that. It’s a lot easier to just scroll on my page and see a lot of my art at once than anywhere else. I like Twitter though, it’s very active and bubbly and I see a lot of art I love there, but it’s hardly practical.
Even though it can be considered as a “clean gallery” too, I’ve never really liked Instagram because I’ve lived though Facebook pages and it’s basically this damn experience again. The ever-changing algo and the “pay if you want people to see this post” is tiring and the push on video content is… well… not my thing.
I’m surprised that there’s still some activity and interactions on Tumblr though, it’s nowhere near as active as it was but the culture of writing comments in the tags when reblogging was always something I liked. It feels a lot less intimidating than a direct interaction with a post author so I feel people are just more casually commenting this way? It’s always nice to read through them.
In which I answer some of the questions that you guys left for me in the Google form I opened (almost a year ago!). Thank you for the feedback! I greatly appreciate it! Questions and process are below the cut! If you still want to ask questions, or leave feedback; my inbox is open!
Q: Where did you catch that wormhole?
A: It all started sometime February 2020, I had just finished a huge project and said goodbye to all of the interns and forced hugs by colleagues and as is tradition when I leave a place, I did some overtime. Got nearly locked into the office building, but luckily slipped out early enough to repeat that awkwardness on my last day. I was outside, looked up at the sky and noticed a full moon. Silly little me had no clue what the future was to bring, so I walked home without any clue other than that I now wish that the night had swallowed me up. Whether it was the stone over which I tripped, or a truck coming from the left, or whatever, two weeks later Covid struck and we were all doomed longing for some rabbit hole to jump down from and meet handsome men.
But that wasn’t a real answer to the question. Just wishful thinking.
Q: How did you plan out the route and did you stick to said plan?
A: LOL I started out with an excel sheet:
But I ended up diverting pretty hard and only loosely following whatever I had in the sheet. Partly because the chapters aren’t all that long, so I have to be selective with what I add and cut. But also because the original idea didn’t appeal to me anymore, or because my brain had other plans. I’m a pantser at heart.
Q: Fanon Kyubei or the real burly, tall, dark, handsome Kyubei with blue eyes hmmm?
A: Idk what the difference is, the only Kyubei I know is tall, dark and handsome with blue eyes and long hair. Was there a difference? Is there anything else?
Q: Do you still feel about Kyubei now as you did about him before? Or has your opinions or general feelings for the man changed?
A: It started as a sympathy/passion project because the poor man was turning into a second love interest in the rp I have with @shaken-veil. I had to make it up to the man.
Now he actually feels like a character of my own. Like fully. Not a character I adapted from a game, or wanted to write fanfiction on, or that is just a version of many.
Q: Did you have as much fun writing his route as we did reading?
A: Glad you enjoyed reading it! I definitely enjoyed writing it. It was something, an experience. Definitely a style I hadn’t tried before!
Would I do it again? Lol maybe in another format. I had to watch and correct myself so many times. I’m not a fan of the first person pov and I’m definitely not a fan of the way the dialogue had to be formatted.
Q: How did you come up with the inspiration for the interactions?
A: Partly real life, partly influenced by everything I read and watch. I’m a creepy people watcher. Most of it comes from my own self-indulgence of wanting to introduce certain headcanons, but also my favourite romantic tropes stemming from a childhood love of historical dramas!
Process
Man, the writing process of Kyubei’s route was something. As one can judge from the earlier screenshot I had an excel sheet with general notes of what I wanted to happen and what direction I wanted to go into. But first I had to write a few notes for myself.
The first note I had to make was what sort of man I wanted Kyubei to be. The type of suitor I wanted him to be. This one was fairly easy because of the roleplay I had with Mama @shaken-veil, in which I had already introduced Kyubei as a character (not a love interest unfortunately). It started with the idea of what he is represented as in the game: devoted, loyal, but a little cheeky. But I needed more. Why was he loyal? Why is he so devoted? I ended up writing a whole background for him, setting up his whole character development as a person from childhood to adulthood and how he came to the employ of the Akechi. I wanted to give Kyubei a reason to be so devoted, yet to be so hidden and my only shame in that is that those details were never revealed in his route. But for that we have events, not?
Next I had to figure out his pet, because every suitor has a pet and he couldn’t be excluded. It had to be something that fit him and for what he stood, but also something that wasn’t taken already. Some may have noted how I nicknamed Kyubei ‘foxling’, but I wanted him to be independent from his lord. Kyubei deserves that. The crow came to mind. Resilient, adaptive and ever-present but rarely noticed. The imagery of the crow was perfect in my mind as I remember the walks to my office in the early morning, the only living company being the crows in the trees as if they were guarding over me. It gave me a feeling of security, despite the doom and gloom most associate with the crow. It was that symbolism and that feeling that I wished to convey through Kyubei as well.
And then came the planning. I had to set up several documents for Kyubei’s route so that I could organise everything. I also had to decide on a general ‘length’ per chapter. For that I actually counted the lines of one daily chapter in a route, which amounted to +/- three pages. Not all chapters ended up three pages, most of them ended up around four to five pages, but that’s alright! More is good, right? Less would cause a riot, but I definitely did write less at some points.
-I don’t have any with kippahs no, I’ve gotten asked about adding it to the picrew before, but with most of these games the hairs aren’t drawn with hats in mind (and the ones that do tend to have oversized hats that work with multiple hairs), I would still look into seeing if I could make it work tho,
-the tichel seems like that would be totally doable, but again I don’t know if/when I would end up updating the picrew as I don’t have any big plans to do so atm. BUT if I end up updating I can add some options in

-Adding stuff to the picrew is still an option (as far as I know, haven’t touched it since 2019 I think)
If/when I add stuff to it I planned on adding a vitiligo option, I’ve gotten asked about it before too,
BUT I have no idea when that would be, my motivation to do stuff with picrew comes and goes, as of right now it’s not at the top of my priority list, I’ve got other stuff I would want to do first
-Uuuhuhuhuhhhhh yeah I guess? I mean if you’re gonna edit it just for youself and never post it anywhere then that’s fine I suppose?
Small edits I’m not hugely worried about. Really just don’t want people to use it as a base and draw on top of it.
I have mixed feelings about editing/adding stuff and it really depends on the level of changes you’re making. If you ask me about it first I’m usually more open to it.
(I am also a little confused about what exactly you’re asking about so sorry if this doesn’t answer your question at all)
-Again, idk about picrew stuff so I won’t make any promises there, BUT I’d be totally down to make a boy/masculine meiker game
-I’m not totally sure what you mean by that but the torso drawings are pretty messy/sketchy…that would be interesting! but difficult lol, I don’t have any plans for that atm :P
-Thank you!! Besides the basic airbrush all the brushes I use in photoshop are made by Kyle T Webster. For coloring I use the Medium Pastel brush from his Dry Media brush pack a lot. Also the smudge tool that came with that pack too I think.
Sometimes I use some of his marker brushes from his Art Marker pack for sketchier stuff (couple of the ones that have more of the marker texture)…Its mostly just those :P
For lines, for my regular stuff I draw and every game before dress up schmess up I used the same Medium Pastel brush lol, for the last 2 games I used the Standard Art Marker brush tho
-Yes, should have that updated with those added in pretty soon!
-Yeah, wanted to add some options in for the last game but still wanna figure out how to not make it work so clunky in the menu with different chin shapes….but def would want to add some options in, especially if I do more masc only focused games
-wellllll idk if i’m the best person to ask since I just feel like I’m wingin’ it most (or all) of the time lol, BUT I will say 1, as advice to any kind of beginner artist, just try and draw as often as you can. Doesn’t even matter what it is! Ya always get better with practice. Sorry that’s very obvious advice lol
The other thing that helped me out a lot when I first got my tablet while figuring out drawing in photoshop was to watch other people draw. Some artists I liked would stream themselves drawing and I got to see how they were doing it and how they used different tools in PS to make stuff. Tutorials are great for stuff like that too (lotsa stuff like that on tumblr), helps you learn new techniques. but I have nothing specific to point you towards I apologize ;-;
