I always found Filch weird and creepy. He’s a sadist and enjoys punishing students, wishing they could go back to hanging kids by their wrists for days, begged Dumbledore to let him hang kids from the ceiling by their ankles, even keeps the chains oiled in his office just in case.
Filch’s outfit from this week’s page of Dastardly Lemondrops. This is only the second time I’ve drawn Filch in this comic, but I feel like I firmed up his design a lot more this time.
Filch’s age is never really discussed in the books, and in the movies he’s a rather old man, but I like the idea of having a wider range of ages for the characters. SInce magical people have such long lifespans, I like the idea of a character in his 60s who still looks relatively middle aged because of the much longer lifespan. That’s about where I imagine Filch to be, in his 60s, just starting to go grey and still very vital.
