Happy Thursday to ya! Hope the week’s been a good one so far. So following up the recent “Shelly” post, this is another character from our independent film “Neighborhood Petwatch” named “Ranger”. His owner runs the neighborhood video game store and the two live in the apartment above the business. The idea was that Ranger actually thinks he’s living in a video game and moonlights as a gamer when his owner isn’t around. Think Michael Winslow from Police Academy meets a storm trooper at Comic Con, but in hamster form. Of the characters that we developed, Ranger was one of my favorites. Swipe to see more!

It’s Friday! We made it gang. Here’s one more pose from the recently released episode of DuckTales, “Let’s Get Dangerous”? This one was both fun and challenging… drawing all of these iconic characters was almost like a bucket list item for me… I didn’t get many shots with them in the episode, and that made this one that much more special. Looking back I wish I’d had more time to go in and tighten things up a bit more, but that’s just how it goes sometimes.

Happy Monday to ya! So it’s been quite a while since the last DuckTales post here and, per recent requests, I thought we’d start this week off with a transformation scene from the recently released “The Forbidden Fountain of the Foreverglades”. In this shot, Scrooge has just been pulled back down into the pool that zaps everyone of their youth by Ponce de Leon. Quite a bit of the poses you see here were in the original boards I just put them on model, adjusted the composition a bit, and tried to plus a few small things here and there. I think the majority of the notes you see and overall ideas made into the final shots which is pretty cool. Swipe right to see the progression.

Happy Friday to ya! Here are some rough design ideas, character turn, and expressions for a character that was originally going to be called Rocky Bottoms for an early season of Puppy Dog Pals. Eventually, the name was changed to Ramblin’ Rhodes and the character was voiced by none other than @dariusrucker… how cool is that!? So a few years back I was given the opportunity to do some storyboard work on an independent feature directed by my friend, Tony Bancroft @pumbaaguy , and I’m excited to say that the film is finally available to watch here in the US today on Netflix!
