I love this movie so much. Its linguistics are so profoundly goofy that it hurts my head. But I will love Atlantis until my dying day. (Oh god oh god, but why the ever-loving fuck would they all be able to speak the modern languages that came from whatever common ancient root we’re going with? Proto-shit with all the asterisks: sure. But modern languages? When they’ve been isolated for however many thousands of years? And why can none of the Atlanteans read their own goddam language when there have to have been people older than Kida was when everything went to shit who survived?) I love Atlantis so much tho
