Postal Service Cafe, Grey Lynn
Drinks pictured: Flat white ($4.5) and oat flat white ($5.5).
Some photos from the lovely Postal Service, serving Kōkako Coffee.
Better Me Espresso, Grey Lynn
Drinks pictured: Flat white ($4.8)
One of my recent cafes discoveries is Better Me Espresso in Grey Lynn. They serve Kōkako Coffee. It’s owned by two NZ latte art champions, and the coffee was so good that me and my friend both had two! It is a small cafe though, with a few seats inside and outside, so if you can’t get a seat, would still recommend getting a takeaway!
Crumb, Grey Lynn
Drinks pictured: Flat white ($5) and long black ($4.5).
Food pictured: Bun from Scandibunz
Small pause in my New Plymouth cafe posts for a post about Crumb in Auckland. Had yummy Flight Coffee there yesterday. It’s a cosy little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, and I really like the mugs that they serve their coffee in. Sadly, their last day open is this Sunday (20th Feb ‘22), so do stop by this weekend if you haven’t been there before!
Matakana Coffee Roasters, Matakana
Drink pictured: Iced latte ($7.5)
Went to the Matakana Village Farmers Market last weekend and tried Matakana Coffee Roasters for the first time, in the form of an iced latte, which was pretty good!
The Candyshop, Newmarket
Drinks pictured: Iced latte ($6.5) and iced matcha latte ($7.5).
A few pics from The Candyshop serving yummy Camper Coffee. I also liked the metal cups the coffee was served in. Hope everyone is having a good long weekend!
Janus Eatery, Grey Lynn
Drinks pictured: Flat white and iced latte.
Visited Janus Eatery in Grey Lynn last week. They serve The Vant’ Garde coffee, which is their own blend, and have a couple of other sister cafes, which also serve as galleries. I had walked from Grey Lynn shops, so I needed an iced coffee, while my friend had a flat white and both were really good!
Florets Bakery, Grey Lynn
Drinks pictured: Flat white ($5)
Visited the newly opened Florets Bakery over the weekend. They serve Flight Coffee, which was pretty good! When I first arrived, I thought it was a takeaway place only, until I saw the “Seating upstairs” sign. The upstairs section has lovely light, and there were a few people working there with their laptops. As they are a bakery, they’ve got their baking happening in the kitchen at the back, and you can hear the oven timer go off once in a while. I don’t know what was that cute little rabbit thing (in the last photo) but it reminded me of my little owl so I took a photo. They serve sandwiches/rolls made with their freshly baked bread, and I didnt try it this time, but am pretty keen to go back for it another time!
Coffee Supreme
Colombia Quebrada Honda (250g for $16)
Just a recent home coffee that I finished and really enjoyed!
Kind Eatery, Morningside
Drinks pictured: Iced latte ($6.5) and flat white ($5).
Visited Kind Morningside during the holidays. They are a plant based eatery, and serve Common Good Coffee which was good! They also have indoor and outdoor seating, and I really like the hanging plants that are inside!
I-Press, Mt Eden Village
Drink pictured: Flat white ($5)
Been to I-Press once when they first opened (2017?), a second time about a year ago, and again recently. They serve Bespecialty coffee, which was good. It’s a very spacious cafe, with upstairs seating, and a few outdoor seats downstairs, though they do open up the doors during hotter days, so even if you are sitting inside downstairs, it feels like you are outside anyway! Also love that door with all the greenery around it (3rd photo)!
