Here’s a headcanon that I came up with in the @hellyeahbottombucky discord that I now won’t be able to stop thinking about:

Okay so we know the serum enhances one’s senses (i.e. hearing) and in the omegaverse scents are a big thing. Soooo…….omega!bucky (probably around cw after he “broke free” from hydra) gets so overwhelmed with all the scents around him (people, food, etc) and of course the serum makes it worse and when alpha!steve finds him he just wraps himself around the omega so the only scent Bucky smells is Steve’s.
