Paxmaveiti (Last Specter) has a mostly sentimental and reflective feeling, yet a belting chorus, along with a section backed up by lively clapping followed by a bell’s triumphant ring. It has a feeling of hope and peace after a trial,starting fresh and looking forward to tomorrow no matter what it brings.
Mysterious Flower (Miracle Mask) is a bright and lively number with a bouncy beat. It also utilizes steel drums, giving it a summery, festive vibe. It has its own emotion, but less of a melancholy feeling and more a dramatic flair. Overall upbeat, with a satisfying, resonating ending.
Surely Someday (Azran Legacy) is very emotional and tender. Its notes are soft and somber, but its chorus is bold and sweeping. Feels like saying goodbye to someone, but promising to see them again.
Girls (Layton Mystery Journey, aka Kat’s game, both the opening and ending theme) definitely stands out from the others, though still a sweet and endearing tune. It has a bright, bold, contemporary tone. Starting a new day with excitement, facing trials and loving life anyway.
Even the ending theme of the crossover fits the bill, with its grand, pathos-filled orchestration, befitting for the dramatic conclusion of an awe-inspiring tale.
