#ball jointed dolls
I’m a giant klutz and ruined my poor Black Cherry Dolls Brownie’s gorgeous artist faceup (mishap involving glue and magnets). I ended up having to do a repaint myself (would eventually like to send the faceplate of for a custom faceup but will need to wait until shipping improves). I’m lucky though, as this is such a pretty sculpt that even a mediocre faceup looks pretty
My little 1/6 Pidgin Doll keeping me company while I work - I swapped out the original wig (which was made by the artist, and was apparently inspired by Brooke Shields). I think the original wig was lovely, but I really think this one is super pretty too.
My beloved Heartstrung Ruse finally got some new eyes with smaller irises - I adore this doll so much
Went to our favorite cabin in the woods at a nearby hot springs spa town this weekend, and took these three tiny beauties along since the town has lots of Wiccan supply shops which seems like it would be right up their alley
And the pic below isn’t a great one of my little bjd, but I thought the spectacular chandelier deserved some attention as well - reminds me of something out of that movie ‘The Ritual’ - which seems very on theme as well.
Always happy for an excuse to photograph my beautiful Boudi doll, and the arrival of the additional faceplates I ordered seems like the perfect excuse. I love the additional options this will give me for photos, and can’t wait to get started on the faceups
While waiting on the wigs I ordered for my little Echo Town Seven to arrive, I decided to swap wigs with my Maskcat Feline - and I think the result is very cute!
In honor of the artists behind Doll In Mind offering a final last chance order for some of their more popular heads before they totally close up shop (poke around Instagram under the #dimdoll tag to find group orders being put together now), I thought I’d get my Larinas out for a few quick pics. The one in the white wig with the company faceup (with some touchups), is on the DIM body, the blonde with the custom faceup is on a Doll Leaves body:

Dream Valley Eve and Bor
With so much attention drawn towards recasters and their counterfeits this week, I wanted to show you guys some dolls from my own collections. All originals, no counterfeits.
To those who think: “I could never afford one of those”.
I’ve always had to live on a tiny budget. My first dolls were bought with money from a side-job when I was a student taking part in some very demanding classes. Our first day at school, we were greeted with these words: “Say goodbye to your social life”. They weren’t bluffing XD.
After that, I became ill. Without the ability to work, my income is way below minimum wage and it will stay that way. Still, I’m able to buy the materials I need for sculpting AND get the dolls I want, by selling stuff when I have the energy. All it takes is discipline and patience. And time. I’ve had to save up for months, or years. But the pride I feel when I finally open the box with the doll inside that took me so long to get is unlike anything.
If I’m able to get original dolls - with my funky head and stubborn body - so can you. Stealing is for children; let’s be an adult. Have some pride.
