This is like one of those fake cooking/baking videos where they clearly swapped the item out at a certain step to make it look like the terrible recipe worked… except the guy baking them is just as in the dark about how and when the switcheroo happened as the audience is.
So this is my mom’s peanut butter cookies recipe. They look exactly the same as hers do, it only has three ingredients. This is how I thought everyone made peanut butter cookies…
This works like it does because cookies are essentially: flour, fat, sugar, egg
Peanut butter is fat (peanut oil) and flour (peanut meal) combined. So all you have to add is sugar + egg. Works with all other nut butters too!
Cookies made with non-wheat flour are also basically foolproof, the only risk you run with cookies is that you over-develop the gluten in wheat flour and they end up indestructible by mortal means.
Thought: these are excellent for people with gluten intolerance or allergies, and terribly miss eating cookies.
This is how I make celiac safe peanut butter cookies. I can confirm, they fucking rule.
