Yo we back on our “Internet/Fandom Safety 101” bullshit so here:

Please reblog this with a thing you learned from your time on the internet and/or within fandoms and stan culture that you think is important for others to know/keep in mind.

(Also feel free to tag your reblog to whatever fandoms or groups you feel would benefit from your wisdom.)

My Example:

Always keep in mind that most topics of discourse and strife you see are extremely short term! This major piece of discourse within your fandom will eventually fade so please do not let yourself become absorbed with it and let it negatively impact your mental health or emotional state.

This is easier said then done of course but if you find yourself extremely sad or angry over the discourse or comments you see just log out. Just close the tab. Simply hop out of twitter and listen to some jams. Even if you keep thinking about it just take a breather until you no longer feel sucked into the drama.
