Not gonna have a lot of free time to do a drawing challenge this month, but I do wanna TRY to pop some stuff out. And by stuff, I mean drawings of Beetlejuice in different costumes, lol. So today, he’s dressed as David S. Pumpkins.
I drew the top image over 10 years ago, & I wanted to recreate it with the musical versions of the characters. I had the top one titled “Beetle buddies”, but I shall call this new one “BFFFFs Forever” ;)
…about how the musical Beetlejuice’s hair changes colors based on his moods & how I absolutely love that, & I realized I never incorporated that into my drawings of him because I’m a big dumb idiot. SO I went back & recolored some of my previous drawings to reflect his adorable little quirk.
Finally got around to drawing Lydia from the musical to match my BJ. (I actually drew this like a week ago, but am just now getting around to posting it, sorry. )
To celebrate Beetlejuice’s Broadway return, I drew a quick drawing of the ghost with the most himself. ;) I’m gonna try my best to get tickets so I can actually see it live this time, since I never got the chance the first time around. Wish me luck!

Oh my GOD. Elizabeth is so good in this!! You can see the exact moments she decides to play him, with her pensive expression morphing into a mischievous smile!! And in turn he’s even more frustrated about the whole situation, this is gold!! Love that little puff of smoke at the end too, they added new effects!!
I have a problem (and I don’t care). I never travel and all of a sudden this show takes over.. having me fly from California (for one day) to see this asshole. Hype was so big, and was lucky enough to get these seats!
Originally just planned to make a trip later this year to see it.. but long story short, I’m obsessed and can’t stop! And don’t really give a shit because this is the first thing that’s made me really happy in a long time. So you better believe I started a collection of stuff for this show, made artwork, made some awesome new friends, and dying to see it again

I feel you big time! I’m coming to see it soon and I don’t even live in the US so that should tell you all you need to know about the intensity of my yearning. I’ve also met very nice people and its exhilarating to just… be so intensely interested in something, makes me feel alive honestly. I appreciate your presence in this fandom!
I jokingly said “his hair is bigger every new show” the other day but at this rate he’s going to end up touching the ceiling in October like somebody please control this feral cockatoo demon or they are going to need a bigger theater.
