Do we all agree that Ellie Martin almost certainly really is (blonde?) Sam Jones in-universe?
The new name is presumably part of an attempt to preserve her in the timeline after the Council of Eight’s alterations despite original!Sam’s fate in 2002 (and whatever happened to the timeline post-EDAs); a better solution than being kept on the time vortex airship in Repercussions.
In fact, given that Sarah Jane is different from the VNAs/EDAs too (eg. not being married, much closer to her new series status quo) and the connection with the He Jests at Scars world, I bet this is a Time War thing (likely making the latter another Time War spin-off timeline). Being in the time vortex, the airship was probably put under threat by the war so either Eight or War had to work out another solution for its occupants.
This is the reason why she seemingly out-of-nowhere becomes a companion of the Valeyard’s in the He Jests timeline and, despite never knowing him as such, insists on calling him the Doctor and assuming better of him.
Mind you, we don’t know how deep this ‘timeline witness protection’ goes though, so who knows how aware she is herself of any of this.

Huh. This month will be the first time ever that the BBC and Big Finish will release stories featuring the same charecter (with the obvious exception of the Doctor). The return of The Master as Missy in TV, and Dark Eyes 3 with Alex McQueen’s portrayal. Never before has such a thing occurred, as the BBC usually embargo any such topics that they will be using.
After listening to Wednesday For Beginners by James Goss (The Lives of Captain Jack Vol 1), I’m pretty sure we need a whole series of audio starring Captain Jack and Jackie Tyler.
At the start of the audio, Sixie is sitting by the sea, eating a Batterburg cake that “matches the color of his waistcoat” and reading Proust. I don’t think this was what the audio meant, but I thought it was an adorable mental image if he was wearing a waistcoat that literally had the same pattern as a Batterburg cake.
The other two doodles are from a latter scene when the Doctor runs to save a man that is drowning in the sea (hilariously, someone is narrating from afar “He’s taking his waiscoat off… and his shirt, oh heavens!”). When he returns to the beach, the poor Sixie is so out of breath he sounds like he’s about to explode! xD (”*DEEP GASPS* Peri… *DEEP GASPS*”)
Most fandoms are really exaggerating when they say “everyone you care about dies” but the Blake’s 7 fandom is absolutely 100% serious about it

I’m just so sad. I think if more fandom people watched Blake’s 7, they wouldn’t be able to handle it. I mean. They don’t know true pain. I’m so sad.
Technically we don’t know it’s 100% - we don’t know that Jenna is really dead, since we only have Blake’s word while he was testing Tarrant, and Vila actually drops *before* the first shot is fired.
And of course we last see Avon standing, and the shots we hear after could be from anyone shooting at anything!
And then Big Finish happened. And they killed Jenna in The Liberator Chronicles Vol. VI…

Jack and Ianto have gone undercover as a happily married couple. There are rumours that something’s wrong at Serenity Plaza and they’re determined to investigate. But the problem is that Serenity Plaza is just so rigidly normal.
Suddenly, Jack and Ianto have to confront the problems that normal couples face. Sharing a house together, doing the washing up, entering the residents’ baking contest, and hoping to win the Best Kept Lawn. Competition is fierce. Because this is Serenity Plaza. And you’d kill to live there.
I just discovered this new audio drama and I can’t wait for July to arrive, I’m so happy because I missed Jack and Ianto so much that this new story will be a blessing, even though I’m pretty sure they’ll find a way to make us cry a lot.

A few days ago, the wonderful @saxifactumterritum reached out to me in response to my vehement anti-pirating Big Finish posts with an idea to give people to opportunity to experience Big Finish in a legal way. A GIVEAWAY !! The response I had from those I opened up the option to donate to the prizes was beyond anything I could have expected. So many in the fandom want others to be able to listen to their favorite, bi disasters saving the world from aliens. And I think that’s beautiful. So!
