Lego Bionicle MOC: Jaller

Gali, master of water

Jaller: Captain of the Guard

Man this thing was a pain to make, but now I can safely say Quirk is now complete

Tributron, Toa of Ice: Journey through the drifts

Hello fellow compatriots to yet another MOC! This time I have made a boneheads version of the Nui Jaga. Granted, before I go any further I would like to state that during the time when making Nui Jaga revamps was a craze in the community. I realized that I wasn’t the first to make Nui Jaga with a walking mechanism, that credit goes to Avaru from the TTV Message Boards. If you want to check them out you can find their work here: https://board.ttvchannel.com/t/nui-jaga-revamp/59300

The Boneheads ver. Nui Jaga was designed to see if there could have been a way for Lego to make a better scorpion in the year of 2001. When Lego was designing the Nui Jaga they wanted to ensure that the profile of the model didn’t have too many variations from the silhouette of a real scorpion. Due to this, putting a handle in the back of the scorpion was out of the question for them. To allow something durable and reliable at the cost of aesthetic, they opted for the stinger tail trigger/handle to pultrude from the underside of the model. Yet here I am today showing what I would have done to fix this dilemma. The Boneheads ver. Nui Jaga comprises of multiple functions that go beyond the stinger tail. It has working pincers, a natural walk-cycle despite it having 6 legs instead of 8 (I’m sorry), and most importantly a stinger tail that can actually aim. Due to how the walk-cycle works, the Nui Jaga can tilt its body to aim for its target just like a real scorpion would. And the stinger itself flicks upwards on top of that! Not only can you pit this against another Nui Jaga (both Boneheads ver. and 2001) to knock the masks off. But you can knock the masks off of Matoran, Turaga, and Toa alike! During the video I made I also made a terrifying discovery that the stinger tail is strong enough to not only knock the masks off of Toa Mata/Nuva. It can straight up decapitate them. No joke! I understand that praising your own creation might be cringe for some folk but MATA NUI. The Nui Jaga were known for their raw power and you can truly feel it with this model! Though as a disclaimer Lego would also not make this for that reason. The stinger is so strong that it might bring harm to children’s hands if they were hit by it. The stinger doesn’t tap, it straight up strikes harder that a Tarakava set and Midak blaster combined. So please do not aim it at your eyes or face.

Other than the small concern of people getting bruised by this thing, I am proud to have this in my collection. Now I just need to make a purple one now haha. I hope you all enjoyed and I will see you all in the next one! Hopefully I do not make something more destructive than this.

“Happy building and play well”, a phrase that I have said for a long time to fellow kit bashers. For when you build from the heart, a bright glow of imagination would also follow. Hello, this is Tributron here. Though you might also know me as Rafael Santiago. Ever since I could remember, robots have made a large staple in my life. That fascination has led me to get into Lego, but not your typical standard lego bricks. Yeah instead I was weird enough to get into Bionicle which in itself is pretty weird but in an interesting aspect. Since when have we seen biomechanical robots living on a tropical island? Never; at least until Bionicle came along and was repeated again in its reboot from 2015 to 2016. Bionicle was something that I stuck to for over a decade. Going from 2001 to 2010 for its entire run and even beyond that, I still to this day have a strong connection to the very Lego Theme that has molded me today. That love and appreciation drove me into studying for an engineering degree so that I could work for Lego. But after years of study I have come to the realization that I would have to move to Denmark, meaning that I would have to move away from the home I’ve always known. How could I possibly move and risk giving up the opportunities I can equally have here in Seattle Washington? And that is why I am here today. But also, it would allow me to have full creative freedom to spread my vision and express a story that can touch the hearts and minds of others. Ascending Depths will be a toy line unlike anything that has come before. A never ending line of fully customizable buildable figures where you can also build the world for them. To tell your own stories in the open sandbox of creativity that is Ascending Depths. It would be a place where good and evil seem to blur at both sides, a glowing world that shimmers like a gem yet meeting its end, and how those who live on it respond to the call from distant pasts which challenges the beliefs they hold so dearly. For a story’s beginning is another story’s end. Click to support on Kickstarter!

Lego Bionicle MOC: Rahkshi Kaita Za

Hello my fellow compatriots to yet another moc! After looking at what was developed to be the official combiner model for the rahkshi i thought the Kaita Za could use a massive upgrade, and what better way to do that than to only use the parts of the three Rahkshi that make up its being! I hope you all enjoy!
