We’re still waiting for some great internet savior to come up with a Tumblr replacement. As of 20 Dec 2018 at 1330 central time, it hasn’t happened yet. For the time being (at least), here’s where I’m hanging my hat:
Mewe.com - There are a LOT of Tumblr refugees there, and we’re starting to rebuild some of the communities we had here.
Sharesome.com - Not many Tumblr folks, but I no longer want all my eggs in one basket.
My own photography has a permanent new home at DeviantArt.com. Of course, I still sell my photos on Etsy.
In the past, I’ve kept the number of posts in a day at a reasonable level by putting things into the queue to cover periods I was busy or out of town. With the show closing next monday, I quit feeding it. Anything I run across that I want to share gets reblogged immediately.
I’ve been operating on Mewe.com for a few days as Grandma Didit. I just activated my Sharesome.com identity as Grandma-Did-It. I won’t be posting much there until they verify me (I hate that). Only God knows where we’ll end up, but I’m leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for my followers to find me.
