Favorite Comic Book of Free Comic Book Day: “Street Fighter Masters: Blanka” #1 by Matt Moylan & Genzoman
Fun issue that focuses on Blanka, giving a quick origin story while interweaved with a modern one as he helps a young girl lost in the forest. Wordless but a simple story with some gorgeous art by Genzoman, this represents the best kind of comic for FCB, giving a nice introduction to the series. Granted, you can’t go wrong with free comics, especially this one.

A couple years ago I was commissioned by Capcom to design a cartoony version of STREET FIGHTER (Their direction: “Give it that TTG feel”) for an animated series pitch that unfortunately didn’t get a greenlight. Whatevs – I got to “officially” draw another one of of my 80s/90s favorites!

30 years of Street Fighter 2! Man, this game has stood the test of time, and has some of the most iconic designs in my humble opinion. Anyway wanted to draw something seein’ as how this month is the games anniversary. Alright, back to work!
