I think tumblr is the last place I have not yet posted this to. Colored one of my older comics. Tried a little experiment here, haven’t done something like this before. Let me know what you think!
I was suddenly hit with emotions and ideas thanks to @belltriggerand@glassesblu’s Reverse!ages AU (Old!Emmet and Young!Ingo). The dialogue is taken from one of my fav films, ‘The Last Unicorn’.
This is my own idea for this AU. I thought of Emmet, after years of unable to find Ingo and coming to terms that he might be gone forever, has to completely remove himself from his work and passion with trains because it reminded him too much of his brother. On his road to recovery, he decided to quit his job at Gear Station and trained to take over Uncle Drayden’s position as Opelucid’s Gym Leader. By the time Ingo returns, Emmet’s already settled into his place as the Gym Leader for nearly a decade and confident he has moved on…OOP.

Start transcription. Comic of Nobori and Kudari sleeping. Has 5 panels. Panel 1: It is night time. Kudari is asleep in the arms of Nobori, who is awake. Nobori is wistfully looking down at Kudari. Panel 2: A close up of Kudari’s sleeping face. His usual smile is gentle, and his face looks peaceful. He has some wrinkles and bags under his eyes. PANEL COPY: (Triangle pointed up) So sweet, yet still so weary from overwork. Panel 3: Close up of Nobori sleeping. The color tone has changed from a night time palette to a day time palette. Nobori has a crooked nose, a scar that goes across the bridge of his nose, and a scar on his jaw that extends to his face. He has his usual frown, with the corners of his lips turned up. He has more wrinkles, and deeper bags under his eyes, and a receding hairline - making him look older than Kudari. PANEL COPY: (Triangle pointed down) Very handsome, marked by time away. Panel 4: A farther away shot. Outside the window you can see the sun. Nobori is asleep on his pillow, and Kudari is watching over him. Panel 5: A shot from above where you can see them both sleeping. Their foreheads are knocked against each other. Their heads are resting on their very large pillows, and the two are snuggled close together.
