[ submas x FFXIV ] the crystarium’s mysterious slayer of sin eaters. apparently the crystal exarch summoned him by mistake & he can’t remember anything before that, but he’s quickly become a hero to the people of the First and doesn’t take that for granted.
meanwhile, the summoning accident sent emmet to the source. he’s not really sure what he’s doing, but he’ll figure it out and find ingo. those ‘scion’ folks are verrrrrry helpful! yup!

Wahooo angsty Ingo HC Time!! I’ve headcanoned for a long time that Ingo and Emmet come from Anville Town, and have probably heard the lullaby for the trains more times than they can remember. And Ingo absolutely does not remember anymore lol However when he received his Celestica Flute and began practicing with it a strange song came to him, though he does not know the origin. It’s now a lullaby to the Sneasel, and some say if you wander the Coronet Highlands as the sun sets you may hear a distant song echo throughout the mountains. Playing it brings Ingo great sadness but he knows this is a part of him. Perhaps one day he’ll remember why.

Not gonna lie, the discourse over the concept art of Ingo balding beneath the hat is actually kinda funny.
He’s what- in his early to mid thirties? My older brother is in his late twenties and he has a receding hairline. S’not that weird. Not that bad either. Hell, my big bro is super pretty. I just think the concept art didn’t really do Ingo justice and was really unflattering. ♀️ All the fanart of him with his concept art balding hair is super cute.
Edit:And just think, in a shipping context it’s the perfect spot to place little kisses whenever he takes off his hat. Don’t be cowards. Ingo is adorable.

Ingo’s disappearance was pretty freakish, not so much as a clue left behind save for his pokemon. It isn’t until Amelia disappears right from her older brother’s side that Ienzo figures a pokemon might be involved in all this.
Que Ienzo bursting into his father’s office demanding where Celebi’s flute is. Celebi exists all throughout time after all- surely they have to know where at least Ingo and Amelia are in the world. Right? He needs his mother’s Gallade or Jessie and James’ Meowth to act as a translator however, seeing as Ienzo and Emmet don’t speak pokemon.
Not illustrated is Emmet and Ienzo wrecking havoc to find their siblings in the past and Ienzo freaking out seeing Daigo- who is the younger yet spitting image of their father, Steven, and as a result- the spitting image of Ienzo as well.

Kenji is literally just a blue-haired Richard, lol.
If anyone recognized him as being identical to Rich/Rich’s ancestor, it’d probably be Ienzo Who may have been shown pictures or found the pictures himself rummaging through old newspapers and news videos after being told about his mother’s childhood.
I guess Steven and Rich are technically cousins because of this but the bloodline is so distant between them that they’re really not. You would have to be digging deep through the ancestral tree to find out. Or, you know, just travel five hundred years to the past.

Anyways, I think I’ve figured the pairings out. Ienzo is a smoll strong with N, and Amelia is a simp for the twins.
The current ages are post BW and pre Arceus. There’s probably a three year time skip for when that happens. Ingo goes missing first, and then when Amelia is traveling with Ienzo to help find him Arceus nabs Amelia.
The entire fam is goth save for El and it was mostly unintentional. Amelia wears more light clothes than her siblings do. She’s also the middle child. Steven remains a dreamboat even in his older age. He shall continue to be so. El will def be that doting grandma when she’s even older. Will adopt Ingo and Emmet on the spot when they’re introduced.
Ienzo: psychic/dark type pokemon. Started his journey at 18, at the request of his parents as when his mother was a child she had been kidnapped and missing for many years.
Amelia: steel/grass type pokemon. Prefers to work at her mother’s pokemon daycare, but joins Ienzo on his journey when she’s 15 to keep him out of trouble. The two eventually wind up in Unova when they’re 20 and 23.
Aria: dark/fairy/psychic pokemon. Starts her journey in Galar when she’s 10, as she was penpals with Hop and they promised to get their starter pokemon together. Has a shiny Ralts and Sylveon, courtesy of Amelia’s hobby of breeding pokemon.
Okay but I kind of lowkey love the idea of Ingo embracing the balding by slicking his hair back all classy like, and then there’s Emmet. Who just brushes it forward when he’s not wearing the hat. Making him look a bit more boyish.
…I’ll probs sketch this later. Went to the dentist for the first time since 2019 and am currently visiting my mother.
Also I found the version of Platinum that I had bought last year around November to replay (since the one from when I was a kid got stolen so I’ve never beaten it) that I totally forgot I had because a lot of chaotic bologna was going on last year and it was not a fun time. Huzzah. Turns out going through ds game cases is very helpful.
I apparently left off on seven badges. So after some lost and confused wandering because I remembered NOTHING outside of freeing the lake legendaries, I finally got to Mt. Coronet and beat Cyrus. The distortion world was really cool- the last part of the puzzle made me a bit dizzy though. Am onto my eighth badge. I can’t wait to get utterly demolished by Cynthia. My torterra is affectionally named Terra. He is a beautiful tree turtle and I love him. :3
