My god, the parallels to what the ring horcrux did to Dumbledore’s hand… the ring with the resurrection stone that could have brought back Arianna, who was lost becauseof Grindelwald. Perhaps even because of that pact! (Which had to have been made before the deadly duel, right???)
This poor man just held so many regrets in his heart. None of the good he did with his 150 years ever really offset those early losses for him, did it?
