Konnor got a single victory and 2018 is officially the weirdest year of wrestling yet

This past week on NXT, we had the first significant confrontation between the NXT Champion Bobby Roode and a refocused Roderick Strong. Bobby Roode v. Roderick Strong for the NXT Championship could very well be the best NXT Championship match to date. Hyperbole? Possibly, but I am not shortchanging either man’s ability to have an amazing match.

The contrast of the aristocrat going against the down-to-earth, appreciative family man reminds me of the Ric Flair v. Ricky Steamboat from 1989. And much like that feud, I am guessing it will be a match of the year contender.

I am also guessing their match will main event NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III.  I can’t wait for this to happen.

Bobby Roode decided to no-show NXT and have his Glorious Celebration with some friends in a private party, away from Full Fail University. Hahaha.
He’s a such a great bad guy. So this upcoming week, Roode will grace the NXT crowd with his presence and the celebration.

It makes sense that NXT would not have the Glorious Celebration immediately follow Jinder Mahal’s huge Punjabi Celebration on Smackdown Live because it would have taken away from both events. It’s important that both men establish themselves as TOP heels; having Roode’s celebration too soon would appear as if he was mimicking Mahal.

Perception is reality and Bobby Roode has to stand alone - both in the ring and in his pageantry. I am sure his celebration will be memorable … even if it’s interrupted by someone (which I suspect will happen).

I don’t know about any of you but I can’t wait for the GLORIOUS CELEBRATION on NXT, this Wednesday. Bobby Roode has yet to disappoint and I don’t expect him to start anytime soon. I am hoping he and Hideo Itami resume their feud.

Question: Do you think the Glorious Celebration will be better than Jinder Mahal’s Punjabi Celebration?

So, it’s here – WrestleMania 34 is tomorrow and the WWEwill (hopefully) put together one of the best cards of the year. The sheer number of matches that are on the card this year (thirteen total matches) and the seven-hour run time of the show means that there is a lot of action to be had with this event. With nine championships on the line throughout the night, two high-profile tag team…
